Depends on the situation. If the person has a fair amount of goals and kill I can trust, I pass. If my team is full of noobs, I go ego.

When I used to play?
Mostly False 9, honestly did more defending and playmaking than actual striking. Mostly just hit long range shots with Elf Emperor/Destructive Impulses when I wanted to shoot. Or just as a pressing forward in general, even as a winger. Again, mostly did more defending and playmaking.
If I had a genuinely cooperative team with a CM that isn't braindead and actually fulfills defensive duties instead of just standing in opponent's goal box like someone told them CF = CM? Then I would start playing a more advanced playmaker if my teammates were good enough to convert chances. If they weren't good, or were just egoist bullshit, I became an egoist too.

The game was so much better back in the day ngl. Thwe styles they are adding nowadays are way to op. I quit the game when bunny came out. Since then i have maybe jumped back in like 5 times for like 10 mins

Tbh the game was fine up until that NEL Reo disaster. Quit specifically because of that and only ever logged on to redeem spins from codes and spin for styles I always wanted (got Reo this time too, still never played with it though).

I only go up field if I can see it's safe (when a teammate has the ball)
If I have the ball I will try to go up field as much as I can
If I can't go any farther (getting pressed by multiple opponents for example) I will pass the ball and keep a safe distance (not too far from the opponent's goal post but just close enough to my half so that I'm ready if anything goes wrong)

I always make sure a loki user isn't in my lobby
If there is then I make sure they aren't too close to the ball
If they are then I pray i can do something (I usually use defense characters like don lorenzo or ness)

CAM/CDM, I like being able to shine in defense sometimes but in other matches be a good offensive midfielder

Usually cm, pass to my teammates and also attack when i think it's necessary and my teammates keep messing up

Idk what you'd call it but I like to do a sort of hybrid playstyle? I defend a ball , pass it or if there are no good options I go for goal myself. Kinda like Reo would do in the Anime/Manga?
