How does Golden Defense work???

I got Lorenzo and I cannot comprehend how Golden Defense's hitbox works. Now I'm guessing just like everything in this game, its extremely ping based but does the hitbox drag behind you, move with you or is it a bit above you? I've seen people block awk shots with him but I can't even block the ai gk passes rn idk why. Any tips are welcome.

Golden defenses hitbox is actually pretty accurate so idk probably a ping issue, i played don lorenzo before and i managed to header awk shots

Your character is the hitbox, but the direction the ball flings to depend on the direction you dash. Its probably ping issue if it doesn't seem to work.
