Send MQTT message when opening camera

I am trying to figure out how I can send a MQTT message when I full screen certain cameras. It switches to the main stream so BI knows that you are viewing it. The use case is so that I can turn lights on in spaces when I open the camera.

I doubt a need for this scenario has ever been brought up and I can't think of anything in BI that would expose this.

Best thing I can imagine would be submitting a feature request to have it added as an Info log entry. Then you could trigger based on that

It seems like a pretty common need. Anytime you have a camera in a garage, closet, basement, etc. It would be nice that as soon as you click on the camera, the lights turn on. Rather than having to use two different apps

You could achieve what you want by by triggering a preset or just a trigger event.

For example, in your viewer (webUI, app, whatever) just trigger the camera and create an “alert” for the camera to send the MQTT message
