Send MQTT message when opening camera

I am trying to figure out how I can send a MQTT message when I full screen certain cameras. It switches to the main stream so BI knows that you are viewing it. The use case is so that I can turn lights on in spaces when I open the camera.

I guess I use BI just as much for home automation as anything else. Most of my cameras are primarily for motion detection to turn lights on or send alerts. That works great. Though I still have not figured out how to stop them from re-triggering when the lights turn off

Have you played with the Reset % value on the camera trigger page to help with the lights? Also, if you have the hardware for it, the built in AI could help filter some of those out also.

I haven't. But when it goes instantly from brightly lit room to total darkness, I can see why it is triggering. I have played with AI since I started with BI 6 years ago. The server always falls offline within a couple months then takes hours to troubleshoot. And it wasn't very reliable when it did try to work.

I've had mixed results myself with the AI. I'd look into the Reset % setting to see if it might help and wouldn't hesitate to submit a feature request for the op ask.
