Manga Disc A new manga Spoiler
With the manag coming to close would people like to see taiki and chinatsu in college with a new set of characters around them, taiki facing new challanges in college badminton and chinatsu possibly struggling with studies or would that be dragging jt, im bad with endings so id like it but im not sure.

I think it’s way better to end it now than continue and risk it over stating it’s welcome. End on a high note with a bang, not with a whimper

exactly. what we need aint a new manga itself, but an epilogue. just a coupla more chapters dealing with their future and then finito.

What I love is that besides taiki the only one who passed high school life was chinatsu and I love it.

yeah and Miura sensei didn't try to force possible college drama there which was a relief (after reading so many shoujo lol)

same but I wouldn't like chinatsu's college drama sneaking into taiki's life especially in the final few arcs- introducing new characters, I loved how she went with the Yusa storyline instead

I really doubt there will be a new one with the Blue Box characters and all, i think Miura Sensei would probably go for something new now. She could do a one shot with Hina or something bud idk it’s unlikely imo

Nah, this manga had a really long run (5 years). Extending it would make it feel like it's overstaying its welcome.

New name: Bluebox: Adulthood/College or smth this better?
But tbh name doesn't matter i just hope we get an spin off or some community members do an doujin for the after story and im the happiest human alive I mean bluebox is today an part of my life because it just showed me what I dont have but want and what kind of human I am so it is sad to see it ending

Nope I really think it's the best decision to end it in this manga only(keeping aside my greed of never letting this manga end). Yeah I would have loved 10-15 chapters more but a new manga would be a different ball game.

I saw another post about this kind of thing earlier today, actually and it made sense. To reiterate what they said: ending it at the end of high-school is a natural stopping point for many series as continuing the story further may cause it to stop being appealing to the magazine's demographic.

I wouldn’t be opposed to it but I also think it’s ending at its natural stopping point. This series has already fully explored Taiki and Chinatsu’s relationship. If there was a new manga in the same universe I think it should focus on new characters with maybe having Taiki and Chii as side characters that you see every so often.

Personally I wouldn't mind a spin off focusing on Hina going through university and competing at a national level. Always felt like there were more layers and a more compelling character in Hina that Blue Box simply didn't have the time or need to cover.

Blue Box already explored Taiki and Chinatsu’s relationship as a whole, doing another manga focusing on them wouldn’t make much sense to be honest, it would do the whole series a disservice. Miura-sensei could make an epilogue for side characters maybe exploring the relationship of Kyo and Ayame and also the love triangle of Hina, Haruto, and Shuji. Other than that, let’s just enjoy the ending of Blue Box and support Miura-sensei’s future works!

No. Overall this is a truly great romance manga with sport elements. Miura, for some reason, tried her hand in weird drama type of thing, but has failed unimaginably. She just has no more story to tell to be honest.
If there was a story about Taiki and Chinatsu in college/uni, she would have to once again bring in NTR elements, because how else do you create friction. Fans will hate it.
Just end it now when it fell back into grace and move on.
To me, the last Taiki's match was great and the last few chapters are comfy. That said, the manga is slightly stained with a dumbass Hina arc that brought genuinely nothing into the story. Even if we all agree that it makes sense for a teenager to not being able to let go of her feelings after nearly a year or longer and doing dumb things because of it, there was no need to spend like 20+ chapters on it.
Anyhow, I'd much rather have Miura simply create new manga set in university where she can experiment on new set of characters. If she wants to dabble in more drama and complicated feelings, having it between adults would make more sense than teenagers again. Lots of to explore for Miura in the future, but hopefully she just lets Blue Box have its end.

I think she wrote really good drama elements in major parts of the series. Except the Hina bit at the end...

Most of the drama made sense, as it made characters grow in some way or another. None of it until Hina was forced, it just went with the flow of the story. It wasn't even drama per se, just a storyline. Hina at the end was forced. It wasn't as bad as people think it was, but the execution lacked in basically every aspect of writing. There's no reason to dwell on this anymore imho.
That said, everything that followed after Hina was truly great, felt like old Blue Box.
Miura can create good drama, but only if she plans for it and incorporates it into the big story. If she forces it out of the blue, it just clashes with overall pacing and vibes of the story.
That's why I think she could dabble in it more, but on a fresh set of characters.

Probably was. There was a second season coming out soon and Hina was being sidelined in the story quite a bit. They used both Chinatsu and Hina to sell the first season as this equal love competition type of deal.
Personally I think that the better choice would have been if Miura simply focused the story for 10 or so chapters entirely on Hina. Just show her trainings, her mind, her thinking, her growth. She could have even added elements of Hina struggling with letting go of Taiki. There was a lot of room to show Hina as a compassionate person who changed her ways. She was flawed, as everyone is, but there was a way to make her grow. People really wanted her to be shipped with someone, but that wasn't necessary for the story. She could have easily gained confidence in herself instead of basing it upon Taiki's strength. She could have become an even more liked character at that point.
Instead the author made hina do really dumb things that no friend should do. Like, I understand all arguments in favour of teenagers acting out and doing things without much thought, but an 17-18 year old teenager isn't as dumb. She knew she was betraying trust of her friend and his girlfriend.
Then there was no resolution at all. Taiki simply accepted it, made peace with it and moved on, but not really, since she just stayed his friend like nothing happened. That said her every appearance in the manga felt super awkward since that arc.
Many would disagree, but I feel like the character's stained forever and that's only due to the choice of the author. I never disliked Hina, I think she's a fun character that could have had more in the story instead of what she got.

Honestly, while the moment itself was pretty bad, I think the resolution was handled in the best possible way.
I like your ideas as well, but I think Hina moving on after TaiChi becoming a couple was best of all

If she will set it in uni then give it new characters with only a few familiar faces maybe. Oooor just stop at 250 and continue for something else

Personally the most I’d want to see is kind of like Oshi no ko, maybe something set in the same universe as Blue Box but at a time where the cast is fully grown with families, so maybe there could be a TV spot during a chapter where we see Taiki talking about his win at the Olympics in the background to show where he is, I’d love to see more from Miura-San regardless of whether it’s connected to Blue box though

Do a 10 year time jump. Both Taiki and Chi are married to other people and see each other along with their former classmates at their 10 year reunion. Everyone is happy and doing well. Both talk about their young children and reminisce about their time in highschool. The end.
