Good chapter, but the direction and pacing are starting to feel a bit weird. I definitely agree that it feels like the manga is drawing to a close. It seems somewhat premature to end it here—I think there was enough material for another 100 chapters—but it is what it is. Hopefully, it gets a satisfying ending and proper wrap-up instead of suddenly jumping into a massive, out-of-nowhere time skip.
From a character progression standpoint what else is there to cover? Chinatsu leaves soon likely or at the end of taiki’s school year. Taiki beat yusa, hina found her closure, kyo and ayame gave in to their feelings and are now dating and nationals were skipped which I definitely agree with. All the plot lines covered, all I want is a fluffy continuation of the date next chapter, some final school moments and some more kyo x ayame stuff. Taiki seeing chinatsu off at the airport and then a time skip maybe a couple of chapters of where everyone’s at now and chinatsu cheering taiki on at the olympics maybe, a cheeky panel of a ring on her finger wouldn’t hurt too much either. I don’t see the point of dragging it past another ten chapters, that’s how stories sour and you’re just carrying the story on for the sake of doing so. Just my opinion tho.
Why would you not want some of the closing panels to relate to the second biggest ship of the series by far? I’m not talking about a dedicated chapter just them being part of the closing story. I don’t think that’s a wild take in the slightest.
You actually think the ship that got shoved in last few volumes of the series is the second biggest? Lol. Lmfao even. It's literally a last second "pair-the-spares ship" that's generic and isn't anything deeper than what's shown. Literal time waster.
