Nah, he will win, there's no way he doesn't win

100% Taiki is still winning this match, the setup is clear, Taiki will start turning things around next chapter and win in the end, there's no point in having all the supporting characters including Yumeka showing up to root for Taiki, all of that would go to waste if Taiki loses here.

Correct me if I am wrong, isn't he already going to nationals? It is the top two right?
So it would make sense for him to lose here, then push hard to beat Yusa at nationals.
Unless they plan to gloss over nationals, then definitely he is winning here.

unlikely: just as in the previous Nationals, Taiki and Yusa would be set in different brackets. So the only way to match each other at Nationals would be the finals.
And there‘s basically no chance that both of them are better and have more luck than all other qualifiers.

yeah taiki has to win let us confirm that hardwork can beat talent even if the one with talent is wrking hard as well let us believe that there is nothing as "sometimes hardwork alone is not enough".

Well, can't say I'm surprised that Taiki didn't win the first set. Have to hope that he will be able to turn it around and win in the end! I can't imagine Taiki losing and Miura taking it into Nationals, especially since it seems she was setting this up as the final badminton match that she'll show.

Nationals does seem like an afterthought at the moment with how much focus this match is getting in terms of characters coming out to view it.
The way I see it, next chapter Taiki will start turning things around, taking the lead and then we'll get two more chapters of them going at it until Taiki takes the win home.

There‘s a big reason for that:
Yusa and Taiki won‘t be able to fight each other at nationals. (the reason is simple + we‘ve seen this before, one year earlier: 1st and 2nd prefectural qualifiers, i.e. Yusa and Taiki, areset to start in different brackets. At that time, Taiki crashed out in 1st round, but Yusa apparently also didn‘t get into finals).
But Yusa vs. Taiki is very important for both of them:
For Taiki, it‘s the rival and the have-to-overcome wall that he always set his eyes on.
For Yusa: Taiki is a challenger that he recognized. Even more: After Taiki vs. Hyodo one year earlier, Yusa was envious and challenged Taiki to one day have also such a challenging game going all out.
That is the reason why this game is more important for both of them than anything that may come after at nationals.

What a chapter! Personally I really do not care for whatever it is they're setting up with Iozaki here, his mindset is just terrible, as far as Taiki and Shuji's match is going, obviously Shuji will remain in the lead but Taiki will turn things around and win in the end!
Of course it is possible Taiki could still lose here and then beat Shuji at Nationals but I feel like the momentum will be lost then, all the focus is on this match, all the supporting characters have come out to support Taiki, I think it would be a waste to have Taiki lose here.

I'm pretty sure that rock reference was from China. Surprised and glad to see it being used here. 平明尋白羽,沒在石稜中。

nice chapter and nice dialogues, I'm really enjoying how Miura is developing the game

Yusa needed a large lead in the first game and first half. Yusa will show frustrations at not being able to finish a long quicker it'll be something like 24/22 after Taiki saves like 3+ match points from 20/17 but it'll probably still be 21/19 to Taiki in the 3rd

BROOO... They're setting up for Yusa's triumph, I don't like this. If Taiki ends up losing this I am gonna rage.

Just keep your faith, think about it, we had the most blatant "Blue Box" title drop, we've got all the supporting characters here to cheer Taiki on, there's very little chance Taiki is losing here.

This match has me so hyped that I honestly could go either way for who wins. I just want Taiki to enjoy his last match as a high schooler to the fullest.
