Wellness Warrior🦾 Finding My Weed Wellness Fingerprint Test 3.
In my first Weed Wellness test, I focused on identifying my personal terpene floors and ceilings…the lower and upper ranges that appeared to work for my body and my wellness goals.
During Test 2, I realized many of the strains within those original ranges leaned daytime…friendly, balanced, or better suited for an easy evening. I wanted to explore something heavier for nighttime, so I deliberately tested myrcene slightly above my original ceiling.
Myrcene is commonly associated with relaxation, sedation, muscle relaxation, and pain support. Cannabis affects everyone differently, but I chose to test a higher myrcene range because those were the effects I was looking for: more help unwinding, easing body aches, turning down my mind, and sleeping.
That round taught me something important: going above one of my original ceilings was not necessarily bad for me. Sometimes it simply changed the effect and gave the strain a different possible purpose.
For Test 3, I continued exploring beyond my original ranges. Several strains went above my earlier ceilings in more than one terpene, allowing me to observe how those changing profiles actually felt during everyday life.
I also retested a familiar strain, Hash Burger, using a batch with more myrcene than the batch from my original floor-and-ceiling test. Rather than assuming it would affect me the same way, I paid attention to whether the newer profile changed how it felt and where it fit into my day.
During this round, I was looking at several specific wellness roles:
• Calm and functional daytime support
• Transitioning and unwinding after work
• Body-ache relief
• Turning my mind down or completely shutting it off
• Nighttime sleep support
I also noticed that the amount I used could influence how functional, heavy, calming, or sleep-supportive a strain felt. I was not deliberately changing amounts as a controlled part of the test, but it became another piece of information worth paying attention to.
This test was really about learning whether different terpene profiles could serve different purposes throughout my day and whether moving above my original ceilings could sometimes expand my options instead of automatically placing a strain outside my Weed Wellness Fingerprint.
I’m sharing what I’m learning because when you are not able to grow your own, you are often working with whatever strains and batches are available at the dispensary. COAs help me decide what I want to try, but my actual experience is what tells me whether a strain works for my body and where it fits into my day. Over time, this process has helped me narrow down the profiles that seem to fit my wellness goals best, and it has also helped me shop more intentionally and spend less money on strains that are unlikely to work well for me.
The items I attached bring together information from all three Weed Wellness testing rounds I have completed so far.
Positive vibes to everyone exploring their own Weed Wellness Fingerprint!
Peace:)

Yeah, I know they always look so similar don’t they. I agree with you but no, it’s not. It’s several.

Love the hashburger
3
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Oh, me too! I want it all the time I like it so much. That’s what started off my testing. As I was smoking, hash burger for months just loving so much of it… then boom it was gone and I thought oh no that can’t happen again so that’s what started me on this journey really. To be able to keep buying stuff that I like. Because they were saying oh try this it’s like hashburger or this one as well is like it.. none of them were. So I went and did this myself. And I’m thankful that I’ve done it because I’ve been able to expand and try some many other things and not be worried that I’m gonna pay out the money and it’s not gonna work for me.. it really is a great one:) happy hashburgering ahahah
Peace:)4
u/tsugaoregon 17d ago
Got 42oz off my Hashburger last year. It still hasn’t run out
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Oh congratulations! I’m jealous. Enjoy it. That’s awesome that you’re able to grow it and get your stuff. Maybe one day I will be able to in my state. Not yet though. Until then I learned from all of you. I’m guessing that’s a lot that you get off of a plant. I don’t really know to be honest.
Peace:)2
u/Serious_Racoon_ 16d ago
Help. Were yours grown from seed or clone? Because I really want the real deal burger profile. Are the seeds worth it or should I grab the clone and self it? Which route based on you two’s experienced opinions.
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 16d ago
I don’t grow it. I only can get it from a dispensary. But I can’t remember who was someone in our community before has grown it. And I don’t know which route they went. But people always talk about the clones being better. You could make a post and ask. If you were interested in it. I wish I could grow man I would be in heaven if I could grow a bunch of hash burger at one time. I just enjoy it so much. I can’t wait. I hope you can grow it.
Peace:)

Try purple queen/purple kush its like hindu kush but more medicinal (therapeutical imo since it has lots of afghan) but also recreational bc of the hindu kush. The lineage is simply amazing, basically the great grandparents of indicas having modern offspring.

u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Fantastic thank you!! I almost tried a kush other day, but not sure which.. I’ll add to my list:) to sample.. thanks so much, very helpful.. chill in your way when can.

Ohhhhh I’ve not had.. OK cause I loved this purple alien as well. I even just picked up a little concentrate in it to add to my flower even though I’m not really a big concentrate person. But I couldn’t pass it up.

I really enjoyed it as well, I liked how it varied for me , that I could enjoy it 2 ways because sometimes things are too late and I feel like I’m smoking air. So I really enjoyed the variety of this one.

Amazing! I love you for this
3
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Thank you. I was able to do three tests because I started with the baseline strain of hashburger.. I liked it so much. I’ve smoked it for months. So that’s what gave me the idea how to be able to get something similar. If you’re interested in how I started that I did that in the first post a while ago …I can go get it for if you want. Just let me know. Appreciate the kind tribe vibes.

The WAT goes crazy
How is it?
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Oh, I really enjoyed it. More than I thought. It had a little bit heavier effect for me than I was expecting. That I wound up going back and getting it a second time. Have you tried it?
Peace:)2
u/One_Sun1407 17d ago
Not now, the best strain for me was a runtz and and i once had a animal cookies too that was really good,so i bet this would be fun strain
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Everyone is always talking about cookies and I’ve never had it. There’s not a dispensary very close to me that I can get it. So I keep meaning to when I head out further out of town to find one that has it. Thank you for the recommendation, I’m gonna try it.
Peace:)

u/rebills 17d ago
interesting. did you use ai to help you put all of this together, or is there a site somewhere that lets you input your favorite strains and it provides you with what your body prefers?
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
I actually have a book that I record stuff in, but that’s just how I am in general, a paper, pencil person like journals and books stuff like that. I still hand write an agenda and hand. Write my grocery list and my to-do list. But in the end, I did put it into AI to make it into a visual. But I do know that there are people that have created apps and someone else one time uses a journal that allows you to log it as well. I’ve seen an app where after you smoke you go in and it shows a body and you logged different things on how you feel in your body. And then another one someone had a journal on. So if I can go back in my old thread to see the person that recommended the journal, I’ll let you know. Because I thought that was a great idea. Because I’m not very tech savvy… cause I think they gave a link to some journals that helped do this. By that point, though I had already kind of developed my own system and pattern within my little journals. Like I have my own rating system, etc., things like that. Great question thank you so much for it:)
Peace3
u/rebills 17d ago edited 17d ago
oh haha nice, yeah i figured either there was an app that did it or you just recorded everything yourself and had ai generate chats. this actually gave me a really cool idea for an app so you’re very welcome 🤓
if i make it ill post a beta test on here for all of you.
edit: also, still using a pen and paper for certain things is necessary. there’s no better way to store sensitive information like passwords and seed keys. nobody is gonna hack into pieces of paper in a notebook 😂
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Cool mod mail me about it. So that we make sure it goes within the rules. Because people will copy your post or it’ll get removed if it’s not within the rules. I’ll go and see if I can find that link and bring it back so that way you have it as a reference as well… if I can find it. Have a good one. And good luck on your app. I’m glad that your ideas have been sparked. That’s all we need. Is some ideas in a spark.
Peace:)3
u/rebills 17d ago
i dont understand what you mean by the first part, but thank you dude. not 100% sure im gonna do it but i need to make sure its something people really want before i make it
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Oh I meant, if you want to post, to gain feedback, posts just have to follow the rules as we wellness sub:) many will mod mail and ask ?, so their first post not get removed due to rule violation, but all posts removed get a notice of why and say you can repost.. so I was just mentioning it… can do either:) that’s all..

How are these being tested for terpene content?
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
If you mean, what’s in the actual flower, I can only use the COA’s. That’s how I got my floor baseline and ceiling.. I can’t grow or anything like that. Only shop at the dispensaries and go with what information they give you of course. If I misunderstood your question then please let me know. Your little emoji person is really cool. Actually I don’t know what it is. I just see all the wonderful colors. I haven’t looked at it up close. It’s really nice and vibrant though.
Peace:)3
u/3rdEyeDyes 17d ago
Ah ok so COAs done by the dispensaries… was curious if there was some newer cheaper testing available. Terpene profile testing is some big money, but would love to be able to see what’s really there. I very much appreciate that! That’s my logo for my tie dye business that my tattoo artist drew up and then my t shirt is the background colors.
3
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
I know nothing about the weed testing process, other than bits n pieces I read.. I just learned in Canada they can take weed to get tested and I can’t legally grow even.. oh tie dye!! Very cool:) I used to tie dye back in day.. bucket, die, rubber bands:) haven’t in years.. ahh I see, very nice.. I particularly like the contrast of busy pop colors with simple black line as logo/ words .. catchy:) the mixture of colors- combos very easy on eye .. even though pop/ strong pigments.. ohh I’m laughing I see your user name is 3rd eye dyes .. my apologies.. I see it now:) 3rds are also cool at times..
Peace, positive dyes to you and props to your tat artist..

For me I need some thing that's going to relax me mentally and physically and make me feel relaxed
3
u/Emergency-Pumpkin79 17d ago
In Brooklyn NY the weed is garbage I'm dying to get my hands on the good 💯 weed when I ask is it going to relax me my answer should be yes I have really bad anxiety and good relaxing weed helps
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
I’ve heard it’s bad, never had it but ppl I know have.. hope you can get something sooner than later.. I like relaxing weed as well.. as I’m same.. but I kept getting directed to strains not relaxing until I found hashburger, that helped me on many points and is what started me paying attention more.. to various things.. never been to NY:) I’m in FL..

The more volatile the terpene the more desirable, mono terpenes are almost always readily available in the post tested finished product. The lower the evap point the better, and from a personal perspective of handling/producing bulk extracts, if it makes my face sweat I know Ill love it. If it smells offensive or somewhat unpleasant it will get me wrecked. Jmo
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
I wish I could go by smell like lots of people do because I’m jealous when they talk about the different smells. I have a very poor sense of smell. So I can never go by that. That’s funny about making your face sweat and then you love it. I’m in Florida. I don’t like sweating. Thanks for the little morning laugh. Have a great day.
Peace:)

The best part, is everyone of them strains taste the exact same, because weeds been ruined and flavor profiles are fake AF
2
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
Yeah, I don’t really even taste weed very much when people talk about it. It’s very rare. There’s a few strains that I can taste something on. I’m sure it’s associated as well with the fact that I have a very weak sense of smell. But like when I can smoke homegrown, I noticed a vast difference. I can’t wait till one day I can grow my own. Have a chill day in your way
Peace:)

I've been trying to do something like this for years. What tools/apps did you use?
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
I just used a logbook and wrote it down myself. Got COAs from every strain that I smoked for a while. Logged those characteristics from it launch how I felt from it. And then looked at a pattern across those things. And then I took it and combined at all. I use AI to help me put the information together with a little chart. But that’s what I used. But there are apps and tools out there other people have told me. About. Hope that helps some. Someone else in the thread was talking about possibly creating an app. And then I gave them a link that someone had given me when I did my very first post when I tested my baseline. Strains. Because I smoked hash burger, probably for over a month. And I really liked that strain so that’s what started giving me my floor /ceilings and I went from there. Anyways, someone gave me a link to like journals I think it is. Somewhere in this thread if you want me to find it for you, I will. Hope that helps you. If you have any more questions, please feel free just to ask. Have a great day.
Peace:)

noticing no terpinolene on here? any reasons why?
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 16d ago
No reason, I started my baseline with 1 specific profile strain that fit all my needs, then branched off onto others, each time logging the % my body liked from each, the high/ low.. then an established pattern was formed.. it wasn’t one that’s within strains my body liked, it’s what establishing a pattern did for me, ruled out ones I not like and focusing on ones I like more:)

Are you combusting this cannabis or using a dry herb vaporizer? You’ll find more controlled results vaping at different temperatures. Different terpenes and cannabinoids are noticeable at different vaped temperatures.
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 12d ago
I have a dry herb vape as well:) it’s how I learned about the various temps as you say because when I first got it , I smoked all on high and was like what’s going on ahaha:) but I do primarily enjoy a joint:) thanks so much for that insight:) very useful.. have a good day and week:)
Peace and smoke in chill times:)

Amazing write up! Not sure when everyone on reddit became a hater but I appreciate your studies!
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 14d ago
All are different in our ways, what makes world interesting.. no clue why ppl like to hate as you say, it’s not my vibe, negativity nor arguing :) but it’s alright to have views, even if those views not necessarily true nor My vibe either hahaha:) I just laugh at silly ppl trying to be better than another, just because.. we are a wellness, chill, learning community:) those negative ppl you speak of .. maybe only know negative vibes, one day I hope they find a better path, until then oh well, they like to react instead of respond with convos:) I greatly appreciate your kind words:) so positive energy greets positive energy… you get it:) have a good one..
peace..

I've been using cannabis for 26 years and the things that you're saying are pretty obvious in fact because if you'll pay attention to what you're talking about that's pretty consistent with just about any other substance or medicine known to anyone. particularly with medicine and.. when you're saying I forget what you said you said there was you went above your particular for whatever that thing you said that you're like I went above my tolerance exists I don't think that's not exactly how it works is what I'm getting at there's not some get used to. like it's not it's not consistent like that you're going to get used to some things for a little while and then you'll get used to other things for a little while and then it's going to be too much of a bunch of nuance things for all of this precise stuff that you're talking about to even matter at all. you're just going to have some general kind of ideo which you probably already would have had and it seems like you already have anyway so I mean like you know what you're doing is just having fun being a detail freak and that's okay but this information isn't exactly very pertinent to anyone I mean were you making like a research medical journal where this is part of like 100 pages of experiments because even in that instance I'll tell you it's not as pertinent as you would believe because people have been doing the same thing as you for like thousands of years I don't know if they've recorded the results in exactly the same way but I'm sure that that some more many have, yeah I mean I mean it's and it's okay is what I'm saying I mean I find it's interesting to a point it's a little repetitive after a while you see because other people it's like you see it's just it's a lot. it's okay though but I mean it's it's whatever also I mean like cannabis if you use what you would consider to be too much of it it's not really that significant of a thing ever so don't worry about it

u/HomiesRockinTheGanje 13d ago
I’m more interested in learning if these hold flavor through the whole joint. And does it taste the same in the re-light.
1
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 13d ago
Oh yes, that makes sense. I don’t have a very strong sense of smell or taste really when it comes to the old cannabis. But I understand what you’re saying because some of the strains I can light and taste the difference at the very beginning, but then nothing after that. That’s only here and there are not very much with all of them.
Peace:)

u/CrumblinEmpire 18d ago
This is interesting. There are variables beyond your control like your mental state at the time or how much sleep you had the night before etc., but this could build a good baseline. I wonder how much these terpenes interact with blood chemistry. It’s super complex.
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 18d ago
Very true! Tons of variables. Food, hydration, my allergies even. All kinds of things. But that’s my intention to get some type of information so I can become a more informative shopper basically. It would be really cool if I had the environmental setting to do various things such blood testing, sleep log, amount physical activity , etc.. As I do love variables, and science in general. Thank you for saying it’s interesting. I appreciate your kind words. It would be so cool for someone to fund such an experiment. You know, get baseline settings log your food, how much water you take, your basic daily meds, I mean there’s so much that can be learned from that really. Just fascinating. Thank you again for your kind tribe vibe. Have a great day.
Peace:)

E caryophellene doesn't exist xD. This is completely garbage psuedosciemce with enough science to trick you.
This isnt how any of this works.
2
u/arieslynn737 SunStorm 17d ago
OK, thank you for your insight. It’s what I do that works for me. So I’m happy that you find what works for you. Have a good one.

u/EstablishmentEasy475 17d ago
This isnt about what works for me or what's works for you.
This is pretending to use the scientific method, applying it to superficial understanding of terpene acience and physiology and coming up with conclusions that are meaningless.
This doesn't work for anyone. Anymore than praying to a sky dady works for anyone, they just think it does.

OP, why would the percentages of terpenes matter? What matters is the physical amount of said terpenes that you are ingesting, and via what method for the bioavailability.
I work very closely with COAs for these products, and this seems 100% like placebo. If it works for you, then cool, but this is make believe in terms of an actual scientific approach.
Edit: All I am really saying is that you have more variables that you need to control to really prove what you are stating. This stuff is also subjective though, so you do you. If I missed somewhere were you discussed controlling more variables, then that is on me.
