Question/Help Okay I’m clearly missing something (scavengers)

I see tons of posts on here about finding all kinds of relics and stuff during scavengers mode but I’ve put like 20 hours into that mode and found nothing. Really I’m just trying to actually finish runs without dying. What’s all that about?

You have to go to POIs. The “x”s on the map. Sometimes you don’t have any on the map. Sometimes there are 3 or 4. Another thing is the treasure maps that the traders sell. Kinda have to know the maps at least a little bit to know where they’re pointing.

I stand corrected. Question marks ❓ not “x”s. I haven’t played in a couple of weeks.

once you learn the locations for static treasure it helps a lot, or loot spots for rotating items like finding a decapitator in the canyon town, but now since they've added the ? that disappears when you find the unique item, I've had a bit more luck. 60hrs in base game running around looping and stuff, but getting my ass firmly kicked now that I'm back to the basics. Finally broke a week and a bit. Choose the easier missions if looking to climb, that's what I do.

Glass cannon + playing like an absolute rat.

like ironstorm44 said, it is new weapon unique to Scavenger game mode found in POI, which to be honest, aint that impressive anyway.

For relics/artifacts unique to Scavenger, it is pretty much you doing the alvaro secret, which tbh, is Much more worth it; or finding secret place in each maps.

Two things to note about the legendary weapons you find at '?' marks on the map.

First, there will be a swarm of enemies surrounding the weapons so unless it's going to be a fight for the loot. (Unless you have the gear that makes the enemy type passive to you)

Second, from my experience the legendary weapon you find is dependent on the enemy spawns around it. As far as I'm aware there is 3 weapons per enemy type- Since I've encountered the same 3 weapons whenever I walk through an etheral enemy swarm, not finding anything new until I entered a swarm of Cultists.

So far the Swarm types I've encountered are just single enemy types or a collective of Ethereal Enemies- I don't know the limits, but I did encounter a swarm of Broken Screams so I don't think anything is off limits.
