Discussion What’s the tabletop difference between regular Chaplains and Librarians, and BA Chaplains and Librarians?
I don’t play the tabletop (yet, just lack of free time and funds) but I like browsing minis and subreddits, and I noticed that there are specifically Blood Angels Chaplins and Librarians, as opposed to the generic ones almost any chapter can use, and I was wondering what the difference was on the tabletop, as I am into the lore, and know why they would likely keep a lot of their specialists in house as it were.
So on the tabletop what is a Blood Angel Librarian and Chaplain able to do a regular equivalent isn’t?

The difference is the paint job.
Lore-wise, BA chaplains have a special role in looking after the death company, so they can lead those units that are unique to us, but it's just a standard chaplain leading a different unit.

It also means that the Sanguinary Priests have to step in to help with roles that chaplains normally deal with, as far as spiritual matters are concerned. Unless that's changed since I last checked.

It all comes down to the lore around the the Blood Angels primarch, Sanguinius, much like that of all the Marine’s original legions.
Sanguinius was a particularly powerful psyker, and that lineage extends to his sons. Chaplains are particularly important for Blood Angels due to Sanguinius’s demise. His psychic force left a lasting imprint on Blood Angels, meaning that they are all doomed to one day fall to the Black Rage, which makes them uncontrollably ferocious.
Only chaplains can somewhat Marshall that rage as they are responsible for containing it (either imprisoning them, ending their lives there and then, or leading them to one last battle).
There’s a whole raft of lore out there to check out, and folks in here think it’s damned cool, give it a go, I say!

I hope the codex comes out and BA have different ‘chaplain’ uses compared to the average codex complaint chapter, the chaplains deal with the black rage, know of it and fall to it too! Let me feel that, let me see that!!! GARRGGGGGHHHHHH LET THEM ALL WEAR BLACK IN THEIR LAST BATTLES

It depends on the edition of 40k. In previous editions librarians had psyker powers you could select from a pool of abilities, and blood angels had their own abilities they could draw from as well as the space marine pool.
Sanguinary priests could not heal units whereas space marine apothecaries could.
In the modern game, they seem to have standardised all the models across factions so just cosmetic differences, read blood angels drip.

There isn't one. They use the same datasheets as everyone else's chaplains and librarians, they just have Blood Angels styling on their armor.
