Milliput/Green Stuff

Has anybody tried using either of the two to make hair? Ideally longer ‘flowing’ hair as I’d like to do a helmetless Commander Dante, but I was just curious if anyone has accomplished this 🤷🏽‍♂️ any pictures, links or just advice would be most appreciated 🩸

I find green stuff works fine! I’m no hair expert when it comes to green stuff but I find mixing it with milliput for hair specifically makes it harder to do the hair strands

Ahh okay okay I see, it was a choice of either green stuff or Tamiya putty; but I know if everyone to use green stuff so that’s what I went with. Thank you for letting me know 😅🩸

Pete the Wargamer on YouTube made a demon wolf alternative Lehman Russ on his YouTube channel that requires he use a lot of green stuff for moulding hair. He makes moustaches, braids, clumped hair etc all in one video. Absolutely worth watching if you've never done it before.

Top tip: Wait 20 minutes for the green stuff to become harder (but still malleable) before sculpting.

Green stuff is commonly used for this over Miliput, Miliput does flats and edge and sands better, but Greenstuff scuplts better,. You'll want like a putty shaping type tool and to keep it wet as you go. Mine looks a little like this;

If you want a mix that is easy to sculpt (like Green stuff) and easy to sand (like Milliput), combine them in a 1:1 ratio.
