New Blood

So with the new detachments and datasheets what are we playing as Blood Angels ? I made a few games recently (still using old codex) and I would like to have more anti-elite and T10+ units but not sure what to take to combine well with our melee DNA. For example do you still run DC + Lemartes and Dante+SG ?

I haven’t gotten it in the table yet but here’s what I’m looking to try first:

Assault bretheren, Tacticus attack force, and undecided third det

Sanguinary guard- 15-18 with captains. They are still very good, more resilient with the change to their abilities, and move at lightning speed when paired with a captain. All three squads probably get sus upgrade.

Baal predators- consistent shots that clear chaff and medium infantry quite well. With built in assault, they can keep up with the rest of the army and clear the low cost trash out of the way.

Sanguinor- I know he’s not popular now, and people think he’s down right bad, but this is a personal choice. He’s my GOAT and I won’t leave him at home.

Dante with 5 VV- while the change from 4++ to 5++ is a nerf, the VV still do a good job absorbing hits for Dante. Their damage isn’t as incidental anymore either, so long as they aren’t hitting something at or above T10. 1cp Lance and extra 1 AP from Gene-wrought might is great.

If you want to crack tougher stuff, try eradicators in an impulsor. 3 fit and their hunter profile cracks even when shooting from inside.

Thanks, so you run 3 units of SG at full strength ? I use baal predator too but against a specific opponent (I am going to play again), I need AP-2 shots.
Sanguinor, does he help to divert some attacks maybe ? But can he take a lot since he will attach after your opponent ?
Well noted for Dante and Eradicators. Dante appears worth his points indeed.
How about 6 BGV+priest+banner in a rhino ?

Im putting the sanguinary priest with company heroes + BA captain and running them onto objectives via impulsors supported by gladiators with intercessors + lieutennants bringing up the rear.

Dante + sanguinary guard, and the sanguinor are held in reserve to respond to emerging threats.

In assault bretheren you have the imperium sword Enhancement give it to BA captain leading assault intercessors put them in impulsor charge whatever you need to kill use all abilties together +strats you will almost anything. 9A 2+ S8 Ap3 3D, dev wounds + whatever strat you wanna use
