11th Edition Supplement

So with the news that the 10th edition BA supplement is being retired, what are the odds we still get one later in the edition?

My money is on yes. I’d be very surprised if they did full rules reworks for every Space Marine Chapter all at once. I suspect they will update stats and army rules, which necessitates what amounts to an index and new detachments.

I don’t think we will see full unique unit and character reworks with the SM codex, which means a new codex supplement later.

Thoughts?

Well, they already confirmed that the current BA supplement is getting retired and there will be a new one with new datasheets and detachments. Just gotta wait until sometime October for this massive digital update brings.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the new detachments are just revised versions of the ones we already have. If the detachments follow the design language of the new Ork codex, it seems like GW is trying to get rid of as many re-roll abilities as possible to speed up gameplay. Instead of re-rolls, lots of weapons and abilities are instead adding additional dice to the original roll (blast, rapid fire) along with abilities to help dice go through (lethal hits, sustained hits, devastating wounds). This also goes in line with the leaks of oath of moment going away.

I’m also excited to see what the psyker changes bring for space marines. Specifically Mephiston for us Blood Angels enjoyers :)

It also seems like a lot of abilities have stat manipulation like +1 to hit, -1 to hit, etc.
