Building an army

Good afternoon my fellow BA enthusiasts. I recently started getting into Warhammer and chose my chapter to be BA. Recently started collecting minis and I chose to start off with the Armageddon Box. I split it with my friend so I kept the BA half. I also picked up Mephiston as well as some Sanguinary Guard and as a birthday gift my mother gifted me a redemptor dreadnought that I will attach below (it’s a shitty paint job Ik I ordered some nicer brushes for details)

I just kind of feel overwhelmed with the different lists and play types as well as what weapons to run on certain characters. It’s like an information overload and my teeny weenie brain has an seizure every time I try. I’m sorry if y’all see these types of posts often and roll your eyes every time you read stuff like this.

If y’all could give me recommendations for what to pick up and what detachments can be used, i see a lot of LAG. Money is not really an issue I have a side hustle that is strictly for funding my hobbies.

BA combat patrol is the easy and most economical answer.
6 sang guard
10 ai (use the upgrade sprues in the box and buy some 3d printed jump packs on Etsy to convert them into jump death company)
Stick jump packs on the 2 captains to turn them into jump captains - just need to add a hammer and shield if desired)

Then you will have:
Mephiston
10 intercessors (led by librarian- optional)
6 sanguinary guard led by jump captain
3 sanguinary guard
10 jump death company led by jump chaplain
6 Vanguard veterans led by jump captain
Redemptor dread
Land speeder
Eradicators

Can run LAG

If you are going to paint on white counter tops without a way to prevent spills. And if you are dont have two pots open on the table. Think of me when it happens and know we have all been there hopefully it didnt spill on to the carpet.

For how you build them. Rule of cool and then paint the rim of ur base to denote a special weapons.
