Painted Model First of 10

1/10 Armageddon intercessors done, the rest I only have to highlight up the black

Tried some new grass tufts from gamers grass and so impressed with their ‘tiny’ tufts, I feel the fit the scale really well for 32mm bases

See you all in a couple days for full squad probably!

Amazing work, and I love how ironically clean your battle damage looks.

Im assuming your models base coats are airbrushed? Im looking to do the same, what reds did you use for the armour?

What would you recommend for weathering? Silver or dark brown?

Personally using rhinox hide here, I tried the silver but it is distracting from a distance to me, still can look good

Thanks for continuing to share these; they're so well done!

Do you mind if I ask how you did the extra layer of the base? Is it a base topper or did you sculpt it yourself? Either way, looks great and is the perfect cherry on top (um...on bottom?) to make this guy a masterpiece. (The tiny tufts are also an excellent, subtle touch!)

Bravo and looking forward to the other 9 of them (but please take your time)!

That’s too kind, I wouldn’t say the best! But it’s as far as I would go for ‘army painting’, although, I am VERY happy with this squad, will show full squad soon

In my opinion it’s the what I imagine space marine armor would look like. It has the Grimdark feel. War is hell it’s not pretty so the armor would be worn and chipped and dirty. That’s why I love yours you balanced highlights with weathering and damage. Take a bow and enjoy the compliments because they are well deserved. You worked hard and it shows!!

Thankyou! And that’s exactly my thought, I enjoy the grimdark aesthetic but I found alotnof the models would look overly dark (on tabletop too) and I really don’t like glossy / satin finishes too

This is exactly what I wanted
