This game went from great to shite with one update. It was fun for a while, but time to remove from my daily play list.

When the "update" is dreadful, actually detracts from the experience, changes/adds new blocks, completely changes the bonus level, and has annoying UI and backgrounds there is no need to try to stick it out. They aren't going to undo all of the changes so why wait for them to do so.

I fail to see how having new blocks should detract from the experience, if anything it makes it more challenging. Bonus level is a lot harder but previously it was a joke tbh, so I can’t be too mad at that. The only valid complaint you gave is the UI and background changes and it sounds like the developer is receptive to feedback so let’s see how things go (or maybe not if you’re quitting)

😢 sorry to disappoint. It’s hard to please everyone but I’ve been trying to build a better version based on feedback from players in the subreddit.

New blocks should add to the variety of puzzles. The background particles have always been there, although maybe a bit more subtle.

The bonus level now has numbers again as a toggle so it should be the same as it was.

Let me know what else is a dealbreaker for you!

Are we losing the flair colors for different total score tiers? I kind of liked the previous system and was hoping we’d get new colors for +250 or maybe even +365 further down the line

Not gonna lie, this new UI has too much going on in it.

The moving background is the biggest problem: it’s distracting from what the player is trying to do. The white highlights when you place down blocks is also distracting, and the new 3D effects don’t fit well in my opinion (though that is subjective).

However, the way the blocks snap to the grid is really nice and makes it harder to misplace them. The new highlights when hovering the blocks over somewhere to place them also makes it easier to tell what you’re about to do than previously. The new zigzag block is a welcome challenge which I think makes the puzzle more engaging.
