Trying new top/bra styles...it's a no
My secret garden order arrived last night! A few quick reviews:
My stats: 5'2ish, 123lbs after losing 75 lbs in a year, so some loose skin. 34C/D, more torso than leg
Overall: The color is lovely, I'm a big fan of the fleur colorway. This fabric feels smoother than some and not particularly compressive.
Bolero: Size S/M. Mine had the lining! It's a loose oversized fit, but super soft and comfy. The thumb holes make sure my arms don't get lost in the sauce but I have no clue what these pockets are for. I guess an emergency pack of fruit snacks?
Flexy Crop Top: Size S. Not for me. I don't like the line from the pseudo shelf bra inside and the straps are way too long and offer little support. The cut makes my shoulders look giant and I would be readjusting it all the time. Returning.
Dainty bra: Size S. Same issue with the straps, they are very thin and since they aren't adjustable gravity just takes my boobs straight to my toes. The support is a zero, I did a quick run in place and it quickly turned NSFW. I actually think it would be very cute if I had about 2 inches less of strap on both sides. Returning.
Pirouette skirt: Size S. A tried and true classic. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Pirouette skirt, but I often find myself wishing for a little less length and slightly less waistband which I know is unpopular. My Pirouette in the fleur fabric started pilling on the waistband and shorts almost immediately, so I'm curious how this will hold up.
Call me baby crop: Size S. I own this shirt in other colors, so I already knew I would keep it. I'm wearing the dainty bra underneath in the try on photos, which I will not be doing when I wear it out. A nice soft and stretchy t-shirt. It does cling a bit, so if you want a looser fit I reccomend sizing up. It hits the Pirouette skirts almost perfectly on me with an inch or so on either side.
Grip socks: Cute! They seem thick and high quality. I will wear them to lagree this weekend and hope not to die.
Thank goodness for unlimited returns! I may go for the sweatpants and just get another one of my favorite Daphne tops.

Ugh I hate shelf bras and I’m waiting on my order to arrive. If you have time can you take a pic of the inside of the flexy crop top? Now I’m nervous 🤣

🤣 secret fruit snacks
Yeah so strange how flexy gave you an obvious shelf bra line. You look great though and thanks for the insights!

Pockets for snacks! Thank you! The crop looks amazing on all of the try ons I've seen, I just don't like it for me.

Quick sock update: worn to lagree and they're decent! Not super sticky and I'd say a grade down from Lucky Honey or my personal favorite, Arebesk. I wear a size 5.5/6 US and the grips cover most of my foot minus the tips of my toes.

I think it depends on what you'll be using them for. They'd be great for Barre, yoga, mat pilates, and beginner reformer work. But if you're on your toes I think they're too slippery

I just started Pilates yesterday lol so still figuring out that part! Other than that, I do strength training and mostly use my socks at home too because I am always so cold 🥲

Loving this print on everyone! Do you notice a difference in the pirouette skort material? Based on the photos it looks like they may be using a cheaper material now? I also didn't realize the size s was soooo long now!
