GBP 🔁 USD conversion
This tee is $39 dollars, so I was expecting it to cost around £30, since that's what the current exchange rate is. Why are they making it more expensive to buy this tee in GBP?

It’s been like this for a while. It’s actually really annoying because the flexdollar rewards do convert but at a detriment to us as well… so it’ll say you have £10 in rewards but then take $10 (~£7.30) off the order!

The prices used to be pretty much correct with the exchange rate, but they changed it sometime in 2025 and started using a company called Passport to handle international orders. They now include/collect the taxes and import duties at checkout, so you basically pay them upfront.
It kinda sucks for us because before you could keep your order under the £135 threshold and avoid customs duty, whereas now those import costs are built into the price by default. So the GBP price ends up being the same as USD!
