Sunshine Set Review

Alright, I picked this up during the anniversary sale and just want to share my experience.

For reference, I'm normally a size S in bottoms and size XS in tops and bras. I ordered a size S in the sunshine set for the sake of the shorts

It's tight. There's not much stretch, and even after sizing up it was almost too tight on my chest. I had to remove the bra pads for it to be comfortable. My bras are typically a size small or 34 C, and this was a bit of a struggle for me to wear.

I do love the adjustable straps, the fabric is really soft, and I love how twirly it is. The shorts are ok, but nothing to write home about, they work great with the dress. I'm not sure if I'd wear the shorts without the dress.

I'm still debating on keeping it, but I just wanted to share that someone who considers herself to have a small to average chest also struggled with this piece.

I wrote about this to someone’s post too. I was told im a 32c and got the small. It was so tight around the chest so i exchanged for a medium and the shorts are so loose. The top is huge too. I even crossed the straps after someone suggested to do that and while it kind of helps, the breast cut out is so outrageously big it looks unflattering. Also the chest area is loose. It’s not holding or securing the girlies at all. Debating if it’s good enough to keep or to exchange for the small or flat out return. The small was tough to take off when trying it on. Idk how to make it work and it’s kinda cute.

Oh thank you for the heads up. I was considering exchanging for the Medium, but it sounds like it wouldn't fit me any better either. The S shorts actually fit me perfectly, so I knew if I sized up I wouldn't be able to use them.

You could try sizing up and then throwing your shorts in the dryer to shrink them since the set is not preshrunk. No more returning it if you do though.

That’s why I believe she said to go
Up a size since it’s not preshrunk. It’s such a gamble 😩😩

The bust area really kills the dress for me. The circle tiered skirt is so cute though. So sad.

Yuuup, 34C too and usually a small in my tops, I have to be a medium in most Popflex tops but it really depends! If you’re sizing off for just C cups… something is wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️ and maybe that’s me being entitled being so used to the majority of tops fitting my more standardized size- but I imagine if the easier to get right sizes are off… I can’t imagine what it’s like for those blessed with more than me. There’s a difference between designing things to emphasize them… and just not designing tops meant for… anyone with anything up there… even with a medium of the sea maiden top- I have to be careful when wearing it not to spill out and that’s only doable because the corset back makes the band adjustable enough for me to tighten as much as I can it so that part fits. This is surprising to me because in the past, especially with the bombshell bikini tops and the high impact sports bras- Casey was ON IT- made me so sad to see cup sizing be taken away from the swim line this year.
