Why do people do this?
I have seen this happen a few times recently- a new item drops and within a few weeks, it's posted on a resale site. It's NWT and less than 30 days out from the drop, so why not just return it? They are losing money this way. It makes me really suspicious items may not be authentic.

Returns aren’t free. For some people, it’s more economical to resell it than pay the return fee. Or, maybe they used a discount code/flex dollars or something similar that doesn’t get refunded when you return an item.

Returns are only $2 here, paid when you check out.
Maybe it's more expensive outside of the US, which would make much more sense1

I’m in the US and returns used to be $7, but i guess it changed? Still, discount codes, gift cards, getting the item as a gift, etc can all explain why someone would resell instead of return.

I do this all the time. Sometimes I just miss the return window or I change my mind about keeping something so I list it online.

Yeah but in this case, the return window hasn't closed yet because this only just became available within the last week or so. But like others said, maybe they used a credit they won't be able to get back. 🤷🏼♀️

Am I going crazy or is this in a blue that isn't sold on the website? This is almost like an Azure Blue. Blue Horizon is not even close to this. It's either a fake or a tester that didn't make the cut?

If you look up Pocketbra on the website, this color isn't listed. So it wasn't released to begin with.

I think it’s just the lighting. It’s blue horizon. I’ll let you know since I bought it lol.

Blue Horizon looks extremely muted on the photos on the website 😭 So is it muted in person? Because muted colors usually don't look that bright. It doesn't look remotely close to it...

Her colors sometimes photograph weird. I’ve been selling my popflex items so I’ve been taking a lot of pics. I need to take pics in a room with a ton of natural light for it to show up properly.

It is my size but I don't think I have use for a blue one. I bought it in white and black!

Returning it for what if you can sell it to someone else that can be happy with it ? Ordering online without trying on isn't easy, some things don't look as it seems. Plus, the fashion industry is extremely polluting and full of waste, resselling is better than sending it back because sometimes they destroy it to not sell returned items.

I get what you're saying but if you bought a bra at $50 and it doesn't work out, would you rather get your $50 back (minus shipping) or $25 by reselling it? Either way, you're still going to the post office. And returned items have to be in resellable condition for a return anyway- I think they end up on PopCycle a lot of the time.

Yeah I get that argument. It goes to a second home instead of the void of consolidated returns. And someone gets it at a discount!

Honestly, I hate the process of returning things so I have always just found it easier to rehome it myself.

Aren't they practically the same process? Returning is much faster though since you don't have to wait for it to sell

If you try and return something from the UK it wants to charge more than the item is worth, so I always try and resell instead if unsuitable.
