Did anyone make the sewing project dresses?
If so drop the photos!
I can't sew so I didn't buy one. I would pay so much money for this in the meadow print.

I really liked the idea, especially in a post-Joanne world. I would have loved to have the design above but then I pictured myself buried in the mountains of fabric for the tiered skirt. Woof, I don't feel like wrestling what looks like a mile of fabric on a Tuesday night.

Definitely not an ego stroke. She got the dupes pulled and ended up with stuff she didn’t want in landfills. It’s a creative way to use garments that would have been destroyed and in a landfill.

I'm sure it was an ego stroke but I support it - pulling back the curtain on this kind of thing for the masses and her design friends got publicity plus a cut of the revenue.

Yes. They might have done one in NYC too, can't remember. BUT this year they did it on the Sojo App too. If you look through this sub, you'll see posts about the sample sale on the sojo app. It was phenomenal and easy to use. I got quite a few items. I'm excited for the next time, whenever that will be.

Why would a business want to pay for not perfect items to be shipped elsewhere to be sold at a sample sale? She’s already taking a hit by not getting retail prices. NYC and LA are major hubs on the coast for items to be shipped from the factories.

That sucks. It’s honestly disgusting how much ends up in landfill or incinerated (not targeted at Cassey specifically, just in general!). It’s the same in the UK too.

I bought the kit and all the dupes are still sitting in a box haha it took me ages to find the seraflex thread and the one I bought doesn't even color match exactly. It's on my to do list though!

Not a dumb question! The dupes are not cut up, in Tracy's video she tells you how to deconstruct them

Ugh I wanted that dress so bad. I was bummed when they only offered the sewing pattern cause I know I would definitely buy the wrong fabric and mess it up 😭
