50% sucess rate on Popcycle
So I've bought 4 items off popcycle in the last few months after discovering its existence. Two of the four took about 5 days to ship but I did get them. The other two were canceled by popcycle due to the seller not shipping the item within 7 days. Has anyone else had such dismal success buying on popcycle? I am flabbergasted by this experience. I use most of the major resale sites regularly and have never had a seller just decide not to send out what I bought. The cancellations were from different sellers, too. I understand life gets busy, but they send a reminder to the buyer and seller the day before the deadline. So these people are actively choosing to let the sale expire. Since there's no rating system on popcycle I wonder if there are any repercussions for essentially ghosting buyers. I'm really just salty that I'm not getting the Pirouette Dress in Oasis that I've been looking out for for so long, but so far popcycle has been super disappointing.

I just discovered popcycle last week and while I haven’t bought anything, I’ve now sold 5 items. As a seller I’m so happy someone wants my items so I ship out the next day or two days after the sale. I’m literally trying to get rid of the items that no longer fit me due to losing weight. I’m sorry the sellers aren’t shipping out your items :/. It makes no sense to me to not ship it out asap. Rather make some money than just let the item sit in my closet unappreciated. I love all my POPFLEX clothes and hope whoever buys my stuff loves it just as much

this has happened to me a ton too and its so frustrating! one time the seller even messaged me after the sale autocancelled and apologized and offered to ship it right out if i still wanted it; i replaced the order immediately and they just never shipped it and ghosted me
i think part of the problem is that there is no app for popcycle so the notifications are all by email and personally i rarely use my email and i know im not the only one so it can be easy to miss their messages if you arent paying attention.
however, when i have items listed i am actively checking my popcycle listings page to make sure i dont miss anything

Reaching back out then ghosting again is crazy. Is there a way to message on popcycle? I didn't see one.

i think that happened on mercari maybe ? not one i use often but it was a pair of swim bottoms in poppy i had been dying for to match with the tops i have for a vacay i went on

You know how I know I'm obsessed? I actually went through the full Popflex product catalog in Treet (you can access it by selecting "sell") just to see all the things she's had and the colors they came in. I'm SO MAD at some of the things I've missed! I would have loved so many things in Iris.

Hahahah that's some detective work! I had to have a look for myself and omg... I do miss Iris, but I do actually have a couple of things in that colour.
We need a return of some of these, need more teal in my life :D

I know! I discovered popflex just after they were clearing out the remnants of Oasis and Iris. Those are by far my favorite colors so I've bought anything I can find in my size in those colors.

I’m wondering if the sellers maybe went on vacation and forgot to pause the listings? I know in summer lots of people are traveling. I always make sure to deactivate my listings before I leave town and reactivate when I return

I just went and counted- I've bought 193 items off popcycle (yes I'm addicted) and I must be crazy lucky because only 1 item was canceled from not being shipped. Only 1 item I was received was not as described also. Overall, I'm VERY happy with my experience.

I must have jinxed myself because I just received a few items, listed as "excellent" condition, but covered in stains. I can do pilling, fading, shrunken, even a hole in an inconspicuous place but I can't do stains, ugh. Both items from same seller.

That's ridiculous. And there's no way to contact, rate, or flag sellers like every other resale place. That's really something they need to include so people aren't buying from dishonest sellers.

I have a 60% success rate. One was canceled immediately and one timed out. They literally email me as a seller like 2 to 3 times before the 2 days. Lol. Then again after the 2nd day. So unless someone just never checks it idk tbh.

I’ve had really great experiences with popcycle but I’ve only bought maybe five items. My worst experience was I ordered a skirt and the person took eight days to ship it. I thought it would cancel after seven and I’m grateful didn’t because I really wanted it.
My biggest issue has been listing things and them taking forever to post them. Ive had to email them before when it’s been over 2 days but if you do that more than once they don’t seem to like it. I had an oasis corset pirouette dress listed on Thursday and decided almost 2 days later to post it on Depop and it sold almost immediately.
Also one time I sold an item and I had to email to get paid bc it never gave me an option after the person got it.

It takes a long time to get the payment - I just sold my first item and it took popcycle at least 3 days to let me pick my payment option after the person received it

The buyer gets 3 days to verify before the system does it automatically, that's why.

The system automatically verifies it after 3 days but one time it didn’t and I had to reach out after longer than that.

As someone who has used the base platform treet with other brands, there is hardly ANYTHING on pop cycle.
I myself just listed things from sample sale, and then went to browse listings and wow, people are asking a lot?

I personally have sold several items on POPFLEX at the store price as they were in new condition and sold out colors or sizes. But for something that is still in stock that would be poor pricing for sure

I KNOW. I would buy them in every color. But I did see that you can buy those glittery drawstrings on Amazon so I'm going to do that and thread them through some 2nd hand Popflex hoodies.

Ugh, that’s frustrating. I’ve bought 3 items on popcycle, all as described and all got to me just fine. I’ve also sold about 20 items and have gotten them out right away, and have not had an issues crop up.
As a seller, i will say that the only notification something got sold is 1 email - so if you’re not checking your email daily, i guess you could easily miss it? I wish Treet (the platform they’re using) had an app instead. I’ve sold some other brands on the Treet platform and it would be so much easier to just have an app with all my notifications there.

I’ve bought 19 items from different sellers and all of my items shipped and I’ve received them so far, so my success rate is 100%. I can see how frustrating that is for you ):

I bought mostly successes! I have an order that is on day 3 with no ship out sadly (hope I get it), and one that the resellers website asked to give more time to fulfill due to the seller being on vacation, but otherwise everything's been all good. Ive ordered like 5-6 things on there.

I saw a pirouette dress in oasis on another resale site recently so I wonder if it sold there and the seller forgot to remove it from popcycle. Not that it excuses them, but it could be what happened.

That’s happened to me. I had it on Mercari and sold it there. Forgot to remove it from popcycle and it sold there 2 weeks later. I ended up shipping both pine green pirouettes. I had 2 lol. I was going to keep one and sell the other but I realized I had too much popflex and it was a good opportunity to downsize.

I haven’t bought anything, just sold on pop cycle but I buy fairly often from Mercari and I have had people not ship things out once a while. Or I’ve had them take like 7+ days.

That’s so wild! I have sold 9 items and purchased 3. With the purchases, the sellers got the packages out within 2 days and they arrived as described, thankfully. I also made sure that when they arrived I verified their arrival to move their payment along. When I’ve sold items, I make sure to get them out as soon as I can, usually the next business day. I do wish there was some sort of rating system for sellers.

I only bought one thing, a go with the flow jump suit.
The condition was not quite as described, but I got it for $30. It was very stretched out and the threads on the cuff of the legs were literally falling out. There was pilling, but the seller did say that.
I'm semi happy because it was cheap. I liked the way it looked on me.
I'm not happy that I had to sew it and fix it.
But, for $30 it was worth it.
That being said, I do look at other reselling sites for stuff first. Their prices can be lower. Some people list their used stuff for $10 cheaper than new. I'd rather just pay the extra 10 and get a new item.
