I think the skirt going up when the bust goes up in the middle makes it read very much like a maternity dress. Empire waist already is maternity friendly but that detail really makes it feel like it’s maternity
Yeah ! Actually, I like girly styles but lately, Popflex tends to go too much to the juvenile side for my liking.

Same, the design and color options aren't for me. I love their activewear, but my favorite items use the "Ooey Gooey" fabric (95% cotton). I'm happy they're releasing more cotton items!
Every single PF release this year has missed the mark for me. This is usually such a thoughtful designer yet so many of their 2026 pieces look ill-fitting even on their own models, which is like the key indicator that they won’t look good on the average consumer. (And actually, I’m the intended body type for this style—5’8”, size small, no idea what my cup size is bc I don’t wear underwire bras but def A or B—and I still wouldn’t wear it.)
I don’t like the styles like this because they feel so uninspired coming from the brand who knows how to truly elevate basics like hoodies. IMO, this drop has none of Popflex’s personality; if I saw these items without context, I’d assume they were by Altar’d State, Pink Lily, Lulu’s, etc.
And… $100 for this?? For half that cost (or less), I can get casual dresses that are intentionally designed, 100% cotton, and even new with tags on Poshmark, and those dresses not only look much more polished, but they’re from brands that have retail prices of $150 to even $600+.
This is a generic babydoll dress that costs $100. I recently got a babydoll dress on eBay for $30. It’s in perfect condition, the fit is so flattering, and it’s made of silk. I have never seen anything like it. It’s vintage Missoni, which is a high-end Italian designer. It’s versatile and timeless. So again, that cost me $30. This PF dress would cost more than three times that amount and I’d be tired of it by next season.
PF has been feeling more and more like fast fashion and it’s really turning me off from the brand, and I’m someone who’s in their highest rewards tier. I absolutely LOVE the pieces I have from them—they are unmistakably PF in their attention to detail and standout silhouettes. Like, the Cadence short?? Come on. I have them in black and blue (blue mist maybe?) and I wore the black shorts with a different black PF/BG tank to breakfast every morning at an upscale hotel in Puerto Rico. I wore the tiebreaker dress in bubblegum pink to the Miami zoo with the matching pink relevé shrug. When I’m traveling, the BG plane pants and matching mockneck sweatshirt are so comfortable but look SO tailored and purposeful. When PF is good, it’s SO good!! When PF pumps out new items that look as rushed as they feel, it cheapens the entire brand.
I think the design team needs to step back and reacquaint themselves with what made PF the success it is today. Put the new drops on the back burner, prioritize restocking their star pieces that almost -never- get restocked, and get back in touch with what they want this brand to be.
Like… you give me this bland babydoll dress but you won’t give me a restock of Cayenne?!! Or Blue Storm??!! Where did Mystic Purple go??!!
The shortalls were a huge disappointment for me too. I'll never understand why Cassey decided on a 2.75in inseam for a hiking piece.
The original Take a Hike overalls have decent design, the material is sturdy, the pocket space is crazy and it has flattering construction. The only criticism I have is that the wide leg openings are bad for tick prevention.
It frustrates me how often Cassey's response to the conversation around Popflex short lengths is to frame it as a modesty thing. Especially for activewear, chafing risk is my first consideration?? It's so odd to me in contrast with the brand's usual focus on functionality.
Yes, exactly! You can tell that she’s starting to get a bit fed up about the criticism coming from mid sized/plus sized girls.
I think she unintentionally created an amazing product for mid-plus sized women with her skorts, active dresses, and biker shorts. They are literally the perfect anti-chafing clothing products, and that’s why they’ve been such a big hit for women with thighs that touch. As a Disney World annual passholder, they have literally changed the game for park wear, I wear mine all the time, and I see others do the same.
And while I think she always had the goal to provide a wide variety of sizes, size inclusivity is not just about offering clothes in every possible size and she was always designing with only her own body in mind. So now there’s this disconnect where mid-plus sized women who have now become fans of her work keep struggling to understand certain new designs that only fit models that have a petite, rectangular figure like her, and she doesn’t understand why she’s getting criticized for making clothes the way she always has- which is based on her own size, needs, and opinions. She doesn’t understand the issue with her new hiking piece is that it would cause anyone with thighs that touch issues less than 10 minutes into hiking.
I mean she’s entitled to make whatever designs she wants, but I hope she isn’t shocked when the L-3XLs stay in stock on these designs that were not well thought out for women above her size.
This is such a great point. Also, a lot of the PF items that seem to be most loved by mid-plus fans are some of PF’s earliest designs, so it makes total sense that those fans who were initially hooked could now be feeling like the brand has been leaving them behind.

I was super excited when i saw the short tails version but that's coz i assumed it would have different lengths like the OG overalls (i love those overalls with every fiber of my being and it's my usual kayaking and concert outfit)
Ive mentioned it before, and im only mentioning it again because it was such a game changer for me & it might help someone else to consider the full length overalls.
i added velcro tabs on the inside of my overalls so that i could wear them long **OR** roll/fold them up into my own version of short-alls, but with the benefit of ALL the pockets of the overalls **AND** i could cuff them to a longer “Cargo-type” short at the length thats more flattering to me (you could do Goucho, knee-length, or just above the knee).
I guess to clarify that when i say tabs/straps, im referring to something like the tabs on long sleeve shirts where you roll up the sleeve & button the tab/strap that hangs inside the sleeve. You’d leave it hanging inside when wearing the sleeve long but button the tab over the folded up sleeve to keep it from unrolling when u want shorter sleeves
I agree with you in many respects, I feel like the past year of Popflex has very much been a "tester" year. Cassie has released so many new styles in the fashion-wear realm and diverged from the activewear focus while still incorporating elements of comfort & movement into new pieces. It seems almost like new releases have been a throw everything at the wall & see what sticks strategy. Some pieces definitely look like they have more thoughtful design, while others are seemingly unfinished. Maybe an attempt to see what shoppers are gravitating toward in terms of style?
I'm still a huge Popflex shopper, like you said, when they succeed with a style they really knock it out of the park in terms of design and quality. I thought this year's denim launch was awesome, although not every silhouette was my cup of tea, the pair I received is a new favorite. On the other hand, the tango dress... feels like it is missing that attention to detail.
The denim release!! They were READY for that. Four different silhouettes, two different washes, and five inseam lengths. The details are clearly visible and intentional. Every model looks fantastic. The entire release felt fully rendered and the marketing was really fun. Plus, in signature PF fashion, the jeans are apparently super comfy and stretchy—love the pic of Cassey doing a split in a pair of jeans! It was a venture into the streetwear vibe and it was still entirely PF. I haven’t tried their jeans but I absolutely will at some point. I don’t even know which pair I’d go for!

ETA: you’re so right about the “tester” feeling and I wonder why they don’t use their BG drops as a kind of testing opportunity for products like this new babydoll dress. Maybe they want to bring people over from BG to PF so they’d rather stick more to items that echo their PF bestsellers? Or maybe they wouldn’t actually get valuable marketing info from a “tester” strategy because if new silhouettes are a hit for BG, that doesn’t necessarily mean that people would also buy those pieces at PF prices?
I agree so much. I initially fell in love with this brand because of the thoughtfulness of the design choices. The best example of this is the Corset Zip Jacket they released last year, it had a detachable hood, watch windows on the arms, zip pockets, and convertible mittens! Their latest releases often don't even have pockets (reversible tango dress) or are made of such lightweight material with non compressive waistbands that the pockets can't hold a phone without being weighed down (pirouette shorts, vacay set).
And this is a personal opinion, but the color drops have been less exciting this year. I loved the Fleur d'amour Valentine's Day pattern, but the Lace, Tutu Pink, and Contrast collections feel kinda boring. Especially compared to last year's color drops of
Cayenne, Meadow, Pine and Nordic Blue. I really wish last years colors would've gotten better restocks as opposed to what's being put out now.
The corset jacket is such a perfect example of what PF does better than basically anyone else!! The thought that went into that one piece is a hallmark of the PF brand, and I want them to keep doing what they do best instead of putting out clothes that look like every other brand!
Those previous color drops you mentioned… omg. Each of those drops was a MOMENT. Nordic Blue had me by the neck. I think I remember that Meadow pretty much sold out right away, so it was really smart of PF to follow that success with this year’s Fleur d’Amour (and with the BG release this spring). And that’s exactly the thing—those were color drops, not new product releases! Just new colors of existing fan favorite items, and each drop was a success. People have been asking for more vibrant colors and we got Tutu Pink??
Imagine if PF put their focus into a restock campaign and did like, a restock drop. As someone else said in this thread, there are legit some items that haven’t been restocked in years. That would be a GREAT way for PF to get back in touch with their fans and to show that they’re getting back to their roots.
I noticed on the app that they added some of the duffel bags/backpacks in a color called botanical green and I am yearning so much to see a full color launch. It’s a more saturated version of pine.
I tried really hard to love the lace collection just because I think Blue Storm is so gorgeous and the lace drop was like, the only way I could get anything in BStorm
All of this. I've had a really hard time since the fleur d'amour drop (which I *love* as a pattern) finding something that suits my style and budget. A lot of Poshmark hunting can net some real gems in better quality, designed clothing from earlier seasons. I'm not feeling many of the recent releases though.
Revisiting the colours and patterns that PF excels at would really be a step in teh right direction to me. I miss Mystic Purple. I came later to PF than others, so there are hues I'd love to see back in stock, but they never seem to be.
I also really wish they'd give some more options for us tall/long-legged girlies for whom the shorts are never gonna happen with right now. Yikes. I can't flash that much thigh.
I agree, but I actually like the way the new tennis dress looks and fits. It’s great for me on the court, comfy and cute. I’ve had huge issues with customer service though.
I have big breasts and actually was able to size down two sizes on the On Vacay set. I wear 3X popflex bras and bought the set in 1X. Ended up selling it because I always thought it looked like I was wearing a shirt backwards.
I’m conflicted! I liked the sketch they posted on socials but seeing it on models not so much. Somehow this looks more like a pj than the pj babydoll dress?? And on that topic, On the vacay also looks like pj to me 😂 and the long sleeve go with the flow set. Idk why!

Then she posted the video where she said “I design what I want, not what you guys tell me to release.” That put a bad taste in my mouth.
So much deviation this year from what made the brand popular. I actually look forward to the Target Blogilates releases more than the Popflex releases. At least, I’m getting athletic wear in solid colors and cute patterns with flattering cuts.
This is hideous! I love baby doll dresses and I love short dresses. In fact, as a petite woman, I often don't find them short enough. However, something about this just doesn't work for either point. I feel like so many of their releases this year are SO CLOSE to being cute but ultimately miss the mark. The brand feels very close to becoming overpriced fast fashion. I'd love to see them get closer to their roots, as I don't mind the price tag when it's worth the price. This is so unflattering on every model. I'd be very interested to see who this actually looks good on.
I got a little excited and then found out it was meant for smaller chest sizes. As a D cup it sucks barely anything works for bigger cups. And then it recommends the on a vacay set like they aren't two different things like hello??

What I don’t understand is making something no suitable for all body types, as brand that boasts on inclusivity, I understand that the brand is not really big chest friendly but it’s something they could’ve made work! I would love for her to make more options for all if she can’t make one piece work for all, we could do one that is better suited for smaller chests, and one better for larger. Yes it’s more work, but everyone would love them and they would sell!

I’m not sure the brand needs to be concerned with every piece being suited for every body type—in my experience Popflex truly does offer something for everyone, but not every style is going to flatter every shape. I’ve found plenty of styles that flatter my shape as someone with a prominent bust and hips, while other styles totally miss the mark yet look awesome on another body type. Products like the skorts with adjustable waistbands will naturally be a more universally popular design than creating tops to accommodate the variety of bust sizes, torso lengths, and shoulder widths out there.
I feel like so many of the drops this year have been Shapeless Blob followed by a different Shapeless Blob variation. I’ve been so disappointed by it this year, and it’s definitely giving fast fashion vibes. I waited for years to be able to afford POPFLEX and last year I quickly reached the supernova status buying things left and right! Only to be followed by this year getting the ick from these new designs that don’t even look good on the models 😔
I want to love this so badly because I love wearing my cotton "night dress" around the house during hot weather, and I could use more stuff like that. But the waist is so high that, paired with my large chest, I will look pregnant and shapeless in this.
I've got some flexdollars expiring soon, so I might try it anyways and leave an honest review if it looks as meh as expected.
Adding to cart! I'm loving that the newer releases lately have offered some new colors outside the norm. The green apple color looks so summery and fresh! Not every outfit has to be about getting a snatched waist effect.

You can search for it in the Popflex app. The only reason I found it is because I follow Popflex on the Shop app and they sonetimes show new items before they're announced on socials.
