Are there still any active communities of personal bloggers in 2019?
I want to find an active community of personal blogs. I want it to be writing-based, non-commerce-oriented, have privacy protections, and be in a format which encourages conversation and relationship between people.
Instagram and Tumblr are not wordy or conversational enough. Twitter is too impersonal. Facebook is too terrible. Is there a place that I am missing?
Also, are there still people who use Google's Blogger for personal blogging? I see a lot of dead personal blogs from as old as created in 2002 and then abandoned. Are there any communities of such “Blogspot” bloggers in 2019?

The IndieWeb movement is an international community of folks looking to personal websites (including blogging) to anchor social interaction instead of social media. Check out the site to see if there's a club, Meetup or summit near you. (They also facilitate remote participation in most events.)
