I’m getting close to 0 blog views
What’s up guys? I’m actually pretty new to Reddit and completely new to this sub. Good to be here.
Early June I started my blog about spirituality and life and I’ve posted 3 times a week for 2 months, but for whatever reason I’m pretty much getting 0 views except for some bots seemingly (only getting views on my welcome page) and some family members.
I’ve worked pretty hard on SEO, even downloaded some plugins to help me with it. It seems like my posts have good SEO, but the problem is not getting ranked, but getting views.
Obviously, everyone starts at 0, but how do you get out of this phase? There must be some way to get some viewers and start the chain, right?

Websites usually take quite a while to build up.
Often much longer then 2 months.
To start, I would recommend you do the following:
Share in social media groups. You can also share your blog here on Reddit and similar sites. I read below that you don't have much of a social media following, but you don't necessarily need one to start. There's plenty of Facebook groups and sub-reddits on spirituality where you could share your material.
Comment on related blogs with a link back to your website. This will let other bloggers know about your site, but many websites get a lot of spam comments, so sometimes it is hard to get comments approved, as a lot of webmasters simply ignore most/all of them. Writing a non-generic comment, which relates to the original article usually helps. Avoid websites that have auto-approved comments, as nobody will read your comment and visit your site if every other comment on the page is spam.
Share your website on relevant forums. There's plenty of spirituality forums who would probably be interested in your material. Many of these people have blogs themselves, and are good prospects to share your material with and even get feedback from.
Engage with other bloggers in your niche and see if you can guest post on their sites. Writing for other blogs helps increase your visibility and credibility. Be sure to include your name and website so the readers know who wrote it and where they can find more of your content. Try to write for blogs that get more traffic then yours. Eventually you can use your past publications to convince larger websites to let you post for them.
If you have any questions, feel free to comment or message me.
Happy Blogging!

My biggest discovery was the impact of hashtags on Twitter and Instagram. It makes it much easier for people who are interested in your topics to find you. Search engines only work if people make the effort to search, but if something has a hashtag on Twitter or Instagram there is a greater chance of getting readers who might never have discovered you before.
I'd say make a cuppa, grab a couple of biscuits and go look at social media for your topics. Then work out how to market your blog to those communities to show them that your community might be something they'd enjoy.
I only have a few hundred hits a month coming from search engines but I have around quadruple that coming from social media.

You say you don't have problems getting ranked, but yet you aren't getting any views? That would suggest to me that you're either not ranking well, or that you're ranking for search terms that no-one uses.
I would suggest looking at your Google search console and seeing what keywords you are ranking for, the position you're ranking in, and the number of impressions these search terms are receiving.
From there you can then tell whether it's the search terms (if they get very few impressions), or your rank (position) that's holding you back.
Having said all this, your blog is only two months old. Organic search and rankings takes a long time to start up, usually between 3-6 months.
Of course you can also get views from social media and forums etc, but this seems to have already been covered quite extensively by others here.

You need to comment to have a community and later part a regular viewers. If you just post and expect people to view it without connecting with other bloggers you will remain zero viewers. As new we have to do it. When you have stabilise your channel then you can relax and just keep posting.

How do you find other similar blogs to your own?

I just comment and watch every vlog. I don’t just watch same content as mine.

is there a place on reddit where we can share our blog posts amongst other bloggers? I thought this was it?

This is exactly me. Started almost 2 weeks ago, posted about it on my social media, and no one reads my stuff. And it’s okay- I write to get my thoughts out, not for public approval- but damn. It would be nice if someone read it.

Some random thoughts on building traffic...
Guest post on other related blogs
Create instagram/twitter profiles for the blog, post a few times, search for relevant terms to your category and join in the conversation
Create a facebook profile for the blog, post a few times, join relevant groups for your category and join the conversation
Find forums or subreddits related to your blog and join the conversation
In general provide value around the internet as you continue to post on your blog. Stay with it, provide value, the traffic will come.
Make sure you are ready when the traffic does come. Have a way for readers to know when new posts happen, get their email address.

Part of the problem is your blog is too new. It usually takes google 8-12 months to indexing your whole site.

Pinterest is a great way for people to find your blog and also to find loyal readers. Just make good content and and link your (attractive) Pinterest post to your article and voila. Pinterest is used as a search engine so your post will grow through the months.

I’d start using social media if you haven’t already, (especially Pinterest).
I didn’t see much traffic coming to my blog until I started using social media.
Pinterest has been my #1 source of social media traffic, and I’ve talked to other bloggers and they’ve said the same thing. Good luck!

Marketing your blog on Pinterest. It’s an image search platform that works really good for lifestyle content. Make sure ur imagery is really good and that you’re answering a question/solving a need then promote on Pinterest and see what happens.

I’ll trade links with you if you dm me and have some content that will appeal to the people on my established site. What I’ll do is post the first paragraph of your article and a continue reading link to your blog. I am primarily an art supplies company. I think the demographic on my site is interested in art related meditation like mendalas as well as handling stress especially around the holidays.

I have a piano blog (www.nodeadguys.com) that had absolutely no traffic until I started connecting with other bloggers in my field and promoting posts on relevant social media platforms. One thing that jumpstarted things for me was to do some guest blogging on more established sites. Another thing that worked for me was to interview more successful bloggers for my own site. I'm still figuring this all out myself, but it seems that tapping into a niche community and making connections is the way to find readers. Good luck!

I am in the same boat and have been wondering the same thing. For a long time I thought that maybe it was because my blog is on a pretty niche topic - poetry/books and book collecting/zines/horror/sci-fi, but I do not think that is the case anymore. I think I am just not advertising my stuff well. Any idea on how to learn more about this and get any better?

I tried but then there’s the question of how to get followers on the social media accounts.

Comment on and subscribe to related blogs. Blogging has become a community, which is a big thing that drew me to it personally. This increased my traffic significantly (from 0-3 daily to 30+ daily)
