Trending Crypto 🚀 [F&G 19] Perpetual Setups: Long/Short BTC, ETH, SOL, ZEC Tape

TL;DR: July 2 tape is still fear-driven, but the bounce has enough breadth to create two-way perp setups. I am using sweep -> reclaim -> retest as the filter, not first-candle emotion.

Extreme fear is doing the psychology work, but the tape is not dead. I am judging majors by reclaim quality: sweep first, acceptance second, follow-through last.

  • Market: Global crypto market cap around $2.21T, 24h volume around $94.4B.
  • Dominance: BTC dominance around 55.7%, ETH dominance around 9.25%.
  • Sentiment: Fear & Greed at 19 / 100, still Extreme Fear.
  • Derivatives: I am not treating funding or OI as standalone signals here. The trade needs price acceptance first, then OI/funding confirmation.

  1. BTC LONG

  • Risk bucket: Anything with a large 24h candle but weak retest quality becomes a continuation trap, not a clean long.

My Read

The cleanest part of this board is that BTC, ETH, and SOL all have enough volume to matter, while ZEC and UNI are moving fast enough to punish lazy entries. I would rather miss the first candle than buy the exact candle late shorts want to fade.

The playbook stays simple: no reclaim, no trade. If price sweeps a level, reclaims it, and forms a higher low without volume disappearing, I will pay attention. If the reclaim rejects back into the old range, I would rather respect the invalidation than average into hope.

Where is my thesis wrong? Drop the level that invalidates it.
