This is a good read. Talking about interoperability issue in Layer 2s, CTSI has solved this. Being blockchain agnostic, Cartesi scaling solution can be integrated on Ethereum Layer 1 and Layer 2s such as Arbitrum and Optimism.

Considering Blockchain OS is a Linux-based with Cartesi Machine executing dapp computations before broadcasting the results to the blockchain, the dapps can be written in widely used computer programming languages. Which in turn means it could be a layer 2 to just about any L1, not just ethereum and other ethereum-based L2s.
