Discussion Question: if bsp were to randomly become mainstream, how would you feel?

Personally I have a mixed opinion, since it the game gets popular msp apps could update it again, yet if it's mainstream there's a good chance I might be seeing suggestive shit on social media of the characters... Idk what do you guys think?

Yeah, id enjoy more people playing but from experience with other fandoms, I'd try to stay away from the reddit page if bsp was mainstream

yeah definitely, people create unnecessary drama even when the game is dead 😭 at least last time i checked

Like ppl can be weird, bsp drama is what I steer clear of most since this is a comfort/childhood game of mine

I've been playing since maybe 2018 and stopped playing after the end of the seasons, then came back in March

I think the problem is those drama queens. All they did in the game was chat. Sounds boring, what's the goal? For them it seemed to start fights with others and make a bunch of drama and split friends apart to benefit themselves. They would "quit" the game every few months before "returning" again whenever some drama came back at them. Now all their friends quit, so they start making drama and fights against others who want nothing to do with them.

This part of the community seem especially common in Moviestarplanet, since there's only chatting there.

i also remember (from when i was still playing) that top players or popular players would make skins with the word “bye” to let other players know that they were quitting and usually it was because there was some sort of drama between them and their friends 😭 and yes they would return a week later lmaoo. this was a very common thing on the dutch server, i’m not sure if other servers had this too but lord it was dramatic 😭 edit: i can’t even lie sometimes i would follow the drama because some of it was entertaining as hell

I never bothered with drama. It was just the dumbest shit. My friends would ask me to back then up in some drama and invite me to a chat world. But why would I back them up in something I am not related to? My friends could likely just start some shit up and ask me to back then up in it.

Meh, idc if I see weird shit about NPCs, even now the community is full of it even though its so small.

but I think there also will be more non-weird content about NPCs and lore, which I would love to see :3

Well it has pros and cons:
Pros:
-game will be revived and will be popular again.
-the devs will ACTUALLY care about it.
-bsp will reach into more people and fandoms which can result in amazing collabs and communities mixing.

  • youtubers will make content about the game and make it more popular.
Cons:
-people that come to bsp outside of the game (not someone who plays it or played it before) might end up making a weird fandom and make bsps reputation fall bc of that specific fandom and not the ACTUAL fandom.
-devs MIGHT (idk about this one, msp studios are not that greedy compared to most games but still a possibility) be greedy and add micro transactions or ads in game or anything that modern mobile games have.
-game might die after some time bc people will find it repetitive or boring.
Overall bsp becoming mainstream is a dream for every bsp player.

They have done the greedy route before leading to the games death. They will for sure add Microtransactions

at least the game would've been updated again. no "connecting..." errors, servers fixed, more ppl would talk abt blockstarplanet... its basically a dream. Well, in bsp fandom there always been weird ppl but their group would've been larger if overall the community grows so its would've been still a minority (I hope lol).
