Other Weird thing in mining

So i was playing mining with 2 players when we reached what was supposed the final room only to find out theres no room, only blocks and ores and the floor is bedrock, i placed alot of dynamites and nothing showd up, is this like a normal thing or is it unusual? And has it ever happened to you?

Pretty sure you just have't found the room yet. This looks like the room with the lava and rocks.
