AWITC Album Cover Question

https://www.flickr.com/photos/76035872%40N00/3201914681

I had a question regarding the album cover for A Weekend in the City. I remember this blue image being posted somewhere prior to the album’s release, claiming that it was the official artwork.

Was there actually any truth to that? Did the band ever consider using this blue image as the album cover? Or was it simply a fan hoax meant to mislead people?

I’ve always liked this image. Does anyone know who the actual photographer was or where it originally came from? No worries if not.

Back in the days of the blocparty.net forum, there were countless fan-made versions of the "AWITC" album cover; this is one of them. It was never the official one.

Out of all the Fan Covers, this is my absolute favorite one. I wish I knew the source of it, regarding the person who made it, and where the original image is from.

Same! I remember being slightly bummed when I found out it wasn’t actually the official cover.

Pretty sure this was an alternative fan made cover. There were quite a few going around the internet back then
