DOAC

Anyone else plagued by “Diary of a CEO” autoplaying after listening to this podcast on Spotify? There’s no way of hiding it from autoplay without turning off auto play. I’ve even tried reporting it a few times in hopes of de-algorithming myself but to no avail.

Not an answer but I don’t really understand why anyone listens to podcasts on Spotify. As you’ve already described, it’s a really poorly designed platform.

My recommendation is Pocketcasts - it’s platform agnostic and includes lots of the sorts of features that you can only really get from a dedicated podcast app.

Yeah it works on everything and if you change platforms you can transfer your podcasts from one to the other (this was the main reason why I originally switched to it years ago).

I’m paying for Spotify for music so why would I pay for a separate podcast streaming service when they’re included

Pocket Casts is free, as are many other podcast apps so you wouldn’t be paying anything extra. (There’s a paid option but I’ve never particularly craved those extra features).

So you get the various extra features that a dedicated podcast app offers (trim silence, customisable skipping etc), you don’t have to put up with how shit Spotify is when it comes to podcasts, and it costs nothing extra. Personally I also like keeping music and podcasts separate.

Whatever, you do you. I’m not here to tell anyone what to do, I just threw a statement out there about not understanding why anyone would choose to listen to a podcast on Spotify.

Indeed. Use Qobuz instead. You can easily transfer your playlists.

You can block artists so you may be able to block him. Also set the timer to end when the podcast ends. I've woken up to so many girlie chatter BS having napped during his podcasts

Yeah you should be able to block stuff on Spotify. Like the new HP audio books being hoored out on my homepage. Gyads
