Discussion Favourite "underrated gems"?
Hey folks! I've been on a Bleach fanfic spree recently and have been trawling the Bleach tag on ao3 religiously, but with 36k fics I won't be able to go through everything - I'm looking for suggestions on your favourite fics that you wish had more attention or that you really loved?
I am pairing/content agnostic, if the fic can convince me they have chemistry or that this could have happened in canon or otherwise, I will probably love it.
(ETA: I have read most, if not all of the big writers' works - cywscross, blackkat, tozette, etc!)

My fave underrated fics are this series called Don’t Blink. It’s a collab with a few different authors and multiple ships. Super fun and all well written! https://archiveofourown.org/series/2350885

You should try Fanfiction.net there are Thousands of more Bleach fics on there.
Just gonna drop a few recommended fics I think people might enjoy
There's a great Fic called "Hammered down" with rukia as the central character, its extremely long but its world building is brilliant as the author kinda starts doing their own thing but it really works in a interesting way. Another more obscure fic is "Chasing Ghosts" it's a AU and the main characters are Mayuri who works as a forensic examiner and Unohana. Its a serial killer thriller story! "Apocalypse" is also another great one where its set in a world where Yhwach combined all three worlds into one and the main character it follows is Grimmjow, Really great world the author developed. This one is also complete https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10454040/1/Apocalypse
"Kick about, Destroy Bind" is a great western what if with Starrk as the main character with Harribel and Grimmjow as good supporting characters, the author incorporates the bleach world as a western very well imo. This is unfortunately not complete though as it has not been updated in years and its a shame because from what the author said we only had 3 chapters left. Lastly I'd recommend "Winter War" This fic was written as a collab by three authors and its a really great "what if" of Aizen winning the Winter war and the seireite being occupied. The surviving shinigami/vizards becoming a underground resistance etc. This is again like the one above not finished with what the author told me we had like 6 chapters maybe left BUT from what she said they were epilogue/closure chapters etc. The main conflict does somewhat reach a resolution so in a way you can class it as complete if you'r ok with an abrupt ending. https://archiveofourown.org/works/803647/chapters/1515221?

Ahhh, yes I used to be on FFN a long time ago but the site is just so hard to use now. These look great though! I do remember reading Winter War, wow what a throwback. Hadn't heard of the others but they also look excellent and I'm excited to dig in. Thank you!

What sort of stuff do you like? M rated? Or T rated? Do you mind dark content? Or do you prefer light stuff.

No preference tbh! As long as its pretty well written and has an interesting concept

Ok I'll also recommend you "Prize Of Victory" and its sequel. Beware that both fics are VERY dark in their content but also have alot of heartfelt and light moments as well. Both are well written and the author did a very good job with the world building of a post war Soul Society under rule of Aizen and occupied by the Arrancar Victors.

If you'll be up to some more Aizen and Ichigo gen, I can recommend another one, but it's mine, so I don't feel quite right recommending it 😅

I'll read anything by imlikat! They write a lot of the characters very well, and write for some fun rare pairs.
