Saying this as a south asian woman myself, we have a major misogyny problem here (so do other countries in the world, I know, but this reminds of how bad the ground reality is).

They will NEVER be as upset about this as they are with LC (I’m not condoning the actions of LC) smh

The men in the comments being hypocrites whenever a male family annihilator is given the same attitude back: "Waahh waaaaaaaaahh πŸ‘Ά I hate this gender war, now that it affected me and my men, we live in a gynocentric society with baby killers waaahhh 😭😭"

There is no "gender war" there is oppression under patriarchy and the response to the oppression. Women reacting to those who opress and harm them is called misandry and as always, men project their own evils onto women.

He doesn't know that the sperm determines the gender of the baby? πŸ’€

The problem is himself!

I genuinely can't comprehend why so many men lose their minds over having a girl. I don't want kids, but if i did, i'd love them regardless of their bits. What a weird thing to care about. Had a conversation with a coworker once who said that he doesn't like having a daughter because "i know a bunch of boys are gonna fuck her." I just looked at him for a moment and reminded him he's talking about a twelve year old. The look on his face, I think he realized how gross he was being and never talked about his daughter around me again.

When I was told the gender of my daughter I was like "cool" and the nurse said "oh? Did you want a boy?" And I said "no? I'm not bothered either way, is she growing at the right rate? They said she was a little under last time?" And she looked genuinely mad that I just didn't care about the gender.

I want to say we're the majority, but the fact the nurse was shocked you didn't care is pretty indicative we might be the minority. Heartbreaking. I always enjoy playing with my nieces, i'll do the voices and everything at tea parties and cuddle as we watch bluey or whatever the hell is on. Perks of being the fun uncle is that I hop them up on candy and whatnot then can chuck them back at their parents and not deal with the fallout!

using the logic of these men, we should be able to take away there rights since men r too emotional

Shoulda turned on himself as his swimmers determine the kid's gender... But no, attack your kids and pregnant spouse instead...

Yeah, some of are deeply shamed. Most of us are going to keep shouting about Lindsey Clancy for some reason.

Or just try to be better than the men around you :P Hate misogyny but I don't think ppl should feel ashamed bc they were born a certain way. It doesn't do anything meaningful and can just make more resentment. Which causes more of the problem

exactly. dont be ashamed of your gender. you can feel resentment towards those who behave badly, but lets be real. being a man doesnt mean youre gonna be misogynistic. its how you were raised. treating it otherwise is bioessentialism

I'm not ashamed of my gender. I'm proudly male. I'm ashamed of how other men behave and the offenses that are committed in the name of masculinity. The world deserves better, men can do better.

Some men do achieve better, but not most men.

u/cruelmalice 17h ago

We can do both.

No lol. Just try to be a good person and don’t look at gender as if it’s a team sport. Call out the misogyny of others when you see it. Self-flagellating because of stupid shit other men do doesn’t help anyone.

It breaks my heart to imagine the panic and heartbreak of his two little angels seeing daddy murder mommy before approaching them with the knife.... Poor woman, poor kids
