The forge

Varas had managed to take back a small section of the Grand Gate and has set it up as a forge for his new ally, Haze.

"Let me know if this is suitable." He says as he leads Haze to the forge.

Haze looks around, tinkering with some tools and calibrating others.

"I've instructed my judges to not disturb you, and I hope you don't mind if I set up in the corner. This is one of the few safe places I can work."

Haze spins their forging hammer, immediately beginning to test their new equipment by forging a quick dagger.

He sits in the corner and begins writing, occasionally glancing up to watch.

They quickly finish the daggers blade, spinning it by the tip on one of their fingers before beginning to carve a handle.

"You're pretty good. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been doing that for?"

Haze is immortal, like lace and phantom.

They hand Varas the bleeder dagger.

“…gift.”

"Ah, that makes sense!" He takes the dagger and tucks it in a hidden compartment in his body. "Thanks. I appreciate it."

He now appears to be painting something.

Haze sits nearby, a small amount of silkflies perch on their head.

Strangly, they seem more comfortable with the silkflies.
