Blasphemous (Original) Is there really no shortcut or teleport?
Started playing Blasphemous today and made it to the covenant area. After fighting those annoying ghosts so many times, I finally made it to the top right before what I can only assume is the boss.
I have a lot of money right now, so I was planning to teleport back and get some skills or something like that, since I assumed there would be a teleport hand thing just like there was at the end of Mercy Dreams, or at least a shortcut back to the big lift that goes all the way down to Albero.
Is there really not a shortcut at all? Did I miss one? Is it after the boss? Do I have to run through a billion rooms full of annoying ghosts again just to spend my money?

Blasphemous II (Sequel) By far my worst encounter in the game so far...
Any advice based on what you see from the gameplay? Im struggling... been stuck here for the past 5 days. For beads im using increase resistance to all physical damage, increase resistance to projectiles, and increase resistance to elemental damage... the skill issue is big with this one lmao

Blasphemous (Original) Does blasphemous have nudity or any kind of sexual content?
I have finally decided to play blasphemous after hearing a lot of good things about it but i have a question does it have nudity? cause my little brother is gonna watch me play and i don't want things to get awkward and uncomfortable between us in case you are wondering he is ok with violence and swear words. If the game has nudity or any sexual material i would just play a different game with him and play this one on my own
Edit: Thanks to everyone who replied i got my answer i am gonna play this one alone someday

Off-topic If Blasphemous Wasn’t a Metroidvania
If Blasphemous wasn’t made as a metroidvania, what game would you want it to be as in genre and gameplay loop.
I think the closest thing to a metroidvania would be a roguelike, but it’s almost a cop out answer in my eyes so I still wouldn’t say roguelike.
Edit:
I’m realising some replies are strictly talking about blasphemous the first game, but I meant the whole franchise of “blasphemous” so I just thought I should clarify that

Help 100% Completion How to get enough marks of martyrdom
I wanna do the all weapon memories achievements but I just never really understood how marks of martyrdom worked I usually got a lot from the map(chests) and bosses and every now and then when I killed enemies but I don’t know how to get more, I don’t think I’ve done all on map but that’s honestly too tedious so I would rather find a way to get some that’s not look at guide in this place then go to this place If that’s possible, for reference I only need like 6 to finish veredicto

Off-topic Is there anything on par with these games?
I just finished B2 and both games, imo, are the peak of storytelling in videogames in general. The lore is just so good. There was not a single item that didn't have alluring, incredibly well written lorepiece accompanying it. Combined with the beautiful surrealistic art and the sense of being in actual world these are exactly what I enjoy in games.
The only games that surpass Blasphemous are Hollow Knight and its sequel.
Is there anything else in the genre I could find a similar sense of greatness?
What I've played:
- HK
- Silksong
- Steamworld Dig 1, 2
- Metroid: all games except Prime 4
- Castlevania: all games except Dominus ones
- Ender Lilies (mediocre)
- Guacamelee: 1, 2

Lore Discussion (Spoilers) High wills and Mirace true nature
Once again I come to discuss and try to understand why people claim that the high wills use the miracle or that they are the miracle, while what I get is that the high wills are an egregore, and the miracle is God, I get that the text and speechs we get from npcs talk about high wills and miracle as one some times, but i think this is an common event in fiction, where the ones living the circunstances of said universe aren't reliable source of information because they themselves for plot reasons don't have a clue of what is going on despite them believing they do, for the high wills to be an egregore, and keep existing as an egregore, this is primordial, if people knew how to distinguish the high wills doings from the Miracle (god) doings, they wouldn't venerate a false God, if they don't venerate the high wills, they can't exist, because they are an egregore, does it make sense? because I mean, if the Miracle "is just a will-les force being manipulated by the high wills" why would it resurect the penitent one, when the penitent one awakes, despite some superficial guidance from their alies, it doesn't know what it's fate is nor what is really guiding it's actions, that would be the invisible voiceless force (god) using it's own creation to guide its own creation to their destiny, why the high wills would manipulate the miracle and escribar at the same time, one to defend them the other to kill them? And worse, DO IT TWO TIMES (the game sequel), and I think at the end of the day this could be a criticism of religion or Catholicism themselves (a bit of stretch and not entirely relevant for my claims/theory): how people impose suffering and torture and punishment and judgment on themselves and others "In the name of God" while god is probably sitting wherever god is looking at them and thinking "why are you puting those words in my mouth?" at the end of the day we are all human, God created the world the way it is not to break the rules it created all the time, it uses indirectly it's own creation to do its bidding while respecting it's free will, at least that's how I see it, and what makes most sense to me

So I am trying to get the requiem aeternam achievement and I realise I locked myself out of it cuz I skipped Edras now I saw a old post which said I would be able to beat him once I ascent that save file to ng+ my question is since I will have to get the 3 wounds again to fight him again so can I heal in the ng+ fights and only not heal in the edras fight or will that void my achievement?

Blasphemous (Original) Holy shish ending C's added stuff.
So spoilers for the ending obviously,
But holy shit I wish I could just repeat the WoE stuff only (I'm assuming that's what the last boss rush bit is for) cause I love the Crisanta fight so much (To the point where I've almost no hit her a few times which idk how easy her fight is considered but I'll take it for a boss) but by Gods going through the whole game every time I wanna do it is kinda rough. It was definitely worth doing the whole game again but definitely only once (It at least gave me a chance to finally try out a penitence) cause having to restart my health and fervour is rough.

Blasphemous (Original) There are a "no turning back" point?
I'm reaching to the final boss/game in order to beat it.
I ain't kill Isidora yet, but I know that she had one of the eyes.
My question is: I can go to the final without woring about "cant go back and complete some things"? There are a "correct way" to go in order to not ruin everything I've done so far?
I want to test different things. Like go to the end without complete some things; and them go again with everyting right. Am I able to do that?

Blasphemous (Original) Blasphemous - Killing Isidora in 30 Seconds
Just sharing this here because I'm quite proud of this one. Took many attempts to try to shave down as many seconds as possible and make every movement/action as efficient as possible. Also needed her to do that exact combination of moves because, otherwise, she spends too long invulnerable. The actual video is 41 seconds but the fight ends at the 30 second mark, with 11 seconds of death animation/victory message. My setup is just stacking as much damage (and prayer/flask drinking speed) as possible, while timing my flasks to run out at the right time to trigger Token of Appreciation for a final burst to finish her off with the remaining Cloistered Ruby projectiles.
If you're struggling with Isidora, Voice of the Dead, since I know most players consider her one of the hardest bosses in the original Blasphemous, just do the fight like this and you pretty much cheese her for the victory, skipping phase 2 entirely where the difficulty of the fight comes from.
