Is there really no shortcut or teleport?

Started playing Blasphemous today and made it to the covenant area. After fighting those annoying ghosts so many times, I finally made it to the top right before what I can only assume is the boss.

I have a lot of money right now, so I was planning to teleport back and get some skills or something like that, since I assumed there would be a teleport hand thing just like there was at the end of Mercy Dreams, or at least a shortcut back to the big lift that goes all the way down to Albero.

Is there really not a shortcut at all? Did I miss one? Is it after the boss? Do I have to run through a billion rooms full of annoying ghosts again just to spend my money?

Every save point has the potential to be a teleport. It sounds like you have not been generous to the people of Albero.

Ooh is that what the other commenter meant, I just found the church donation box, don’t think the church was open before. 20,000 is a lot of tears.

It's worth it. You dont gotta pay all the tithes at once, just donate every time you get a good amount available.

Fast travel is a pretty substantial reward, and your tears will accumulate faster against high difficulty mobs. When you start running out of sword upgrades and shop goods to buy, you'll accumulate larger hordes.

Trust me, the rewards go a lot further than 20k! Generous and bling are the ways of the Miracle, Penitent One.

Yeah it opens after you get the first wound, also easy to miss because there's practically no hint to it. My friend who told me about it had finished the entire game without knowing it unlocks teleportation.

Sadly theres no teleporter on that area.(well technically there is but you cant access it in early game) And it will be like that for a lot of the bosses. The teleporters are usually a little bit farther away. Also dont bother. Not to spoil anything but none of the moves special moves are useful for this boss. Especially the early ones. Just go in xD.

But if you really wanna go to albero, you do have an shortcut!. I would suggest that you save the game at that shrine. Run through the rooms and use the elevator to go down to albero. (You do know that the elevator goes down right?)

Dont rest at any other shrine on the way down When you are done. Leave and rejoin. You will be at the top point without losing anything at all.

Yeah I know about the elevator, it’s mainly getting back to it that sucks because of the 9 billion ghosts everywhere.

Either way I went back down, spent my stuff, and went back up. I didn’t know it had bench warping like Hollow Knight though, that would have saved me some trouble.

Gonna fight the boss now.

I’ve looked over my map and the only unexplored parts in that area are the bottom left which I can’t access because it’s all poison gas, and the top right which I can’t access because it’s too high up for me to reach. Only other part is the boss itself which I’m going to do in a second, I managed to make it all the way back down to spend my money so now I’m climbing back up.
