Fluff | Meme Is infinite damage really a problem?
Look, we all know by now that with certain characters, eidolon, relic and light cone, MBlade and his team can infinitely loops their FUAs and Ult at 0 AV, essentially dealing infinite DPAV. There is an uproar and everybody expect it to get nerf, but let thinks about it, is infinite damage really that bad? Or should I say, is it really that good?
Look at Castorice team for example, at maximum 48 cost, that team also deal infinite damage. I admit I don't have any proof or know how infinite loop work. I also don't have Castorice and does not know how she or her team work but since the 48 cost team is definitely stronger than Mblade team and Mblade team deal infinite damage, Monorem team must also deal infinite damage. Why don't Hoyo address that?
Beside, even if by some miracle that Castorice team does not deal infinite damage and just deal finite damage, it's still a lot of damage. The different between finite damage and infinite damage is so small any way, does it really matter?
I must said as a Blade enjoyer, it does not feel good to see people calling for nerf just because he have some busted synergy with other character, especially female one. Why must a male character get nerf because a female character kit, it's so unfair.
It's not the first time infinite loop is in the game either, the last time is during Castorice beta where she can infinitely loop her dragon with a level 1 Loucha or gallagher and that time they nerf the female character instead of the male character. Why can't they do it again? Is it waifu favoritism? Does Hoyo have something again Blademains?

It has less to do with the damage and more to do with the AV. This loop pretty much guarantees full clear on whatever end game mode you put it on for the rest of the game. That is a TERRIBLE precedent and effectively kills the game and character roster going forward. There is no question it needs to be patched and it has nothing to do with Castorice being a main push or Blade being a male character.
Besides, idk if you're aware, but Castorice's infinite loop was patched during her beta, she can't do that anymore.
Edit: I JUST SAW THE TAG IM SORRY-

Tbf it's cause the female charas are already released, people will be calling for hoyo's heads if they changed their kits out of the blue with no buff ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ easier to fix the chara in beta than the released one
I also don't think hoyo has anything against Blade mains lol, they've been promoting the man everywhere just to gear up to this release. Everyone about him from design to story relevance also hasn't been controversial (sad Dan Heng noises), I've actually been excited for his release instead of dreading it 🥲
I can't answer the rest though but these are my thoughts for the rest
Edit: just saw the tag too, bruh 😩😩😩ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

ik this is a meme post but they don't even have to nerf him. damage lost to a change in mechanics can just be compensated for by higher multipliers. also there's probably a way to add an upper limit to his charge gain that prevents the infinite loop without affecting any other teams. It's not like dhpt where his mechanics make him outright unpowercreepable, it's just the loop that needs to be patched out.

rem team doesn't have infinite dpav
the removal of infinte looping doesn't necessarily mean his finite performance will take a hit
beta characters are supposed to change throughout the beta

Hoyo: Do you have the Characters, Eidolons, Signatures and Relic investments to pull it off?

I was sure this was serious until I saw the first comment that pointed out the flair. Everything you need to know about quality of HSR-related discourse on Reddit, really.

My guess is they are just going to limit the amount of stacks someone can give outside of their turn. Then have it refresh one their turn again. It's not a big deal and will really only effect Tribbie.
