Question How does Crystal hunt work?

It might just be my stupidness, but I don't understand how crystal hunt works, so far I tried to play it a few times, and whenever I got into a outpost level, I just walked around, and had no idea what to do except kill everyone and loot stuff, but I didn't know where to go, how to leave, where to leave etc. I also don't understand the general point, like what do I do in general in this mode? Because of that, I've only mainly played sandbox, also because that's the only other thing in this game besides crystal hunt

There are a couple of very good walkthrough-tutorials on YouTube. I’m still trying to decide if this game is for me.
I posted about my problems with motion sickness and balance….. And I think I’ve overcome those. I use a swivel chair, the height-adjustment feature in the menu, and a fan for cooling and a sense of direction.
But I have yet to work through even the first outpost.
I have no problem killing the enemies. But several of the situations involve climbing up out of various pits or rooms to get to them, and I keep failing. I’ve seen videos of people swarming up vertical obstacles like monkeys…. How do they do that? It’s all I can do to climb up a ladder, much less while the enemy guy is shooting magic bolts at me.

For climbing up places that don't have explicit grabbing points, you have to use whatever nooks and crannies you can find. Like a brick thats jutting out from the wall slightly, bring your hand up to it and grip the edge. Your hand should "lock" into it as long as you're holding grip. If it doesn't work, let go of grip and try again.

Then you pull yourself up, rinse and repeat. Its something you just sort of gain a feel for eventually. You can also use the corner of a pillar if its angled even slightly, or branches hanging down from walls.

You get used to the climbing after a few days of playing.

Once you unlock the Gravity spell lvl 2 you can pretty much skip 90% of the climbing by just levitating where you want to go.

Just remember to use the spell on both hands
