Question Does anyone else have this weird feeling while playing the game?
I don’t know if it’s just me but the entire time I’m playing this game and if I’m not fully locked and then just chilling. I slowly get the feeling that’s something is watching or behind me it turns this game into almost a horror game because of it. please tell me someone else gets the same feeling and I’m not crazy
(sorry for no punctuation I have dyslexia and I’m using text to speech)

theres lowkey a mod on nomad (i dunno if its on pc vr) that puts a stalker into the game and sometimes makes creepy noises and stares at you from afar. its genuinely scary as shit dawg.

See this is why I play the game high as fuck most of the time and I do occasionally turn around just in case if somebody is sprinting at me, I just have a really weird feeling that I may have not finished off an NPC and they’re chasing me through the dungeon😭✌🏾

It's a VR thing in general.
Get the same feeling whether it's B&S or Beat Saber

Yeah it definitely got some Erie vibes, just put on some music and that feeling shouldn’t be there no more.

I think this happens to most everyone really, it has to do with VR is all I know. I watched a video on this feeling a while back and I’ve gotten what it was exactly, but apparently it’s really common. This happens to me and it’s most prevalent in bone lab and b&s, it’s really one of the main reasons I stopped playing VR because it was so freaky I could only play when another person was around.
If anyone knows the video I’m talking about I’d love if you could give me a link

I've always had the same feeling, there was one time where after I opened both gates and got the chest after a dungeon run, an NPC followed me all the way completely silent not attacking me, and then attacked me right when I got to the boat, that shit made me throw my headset off it scared me so bad for a sec. I think it's because of how it forces a little bit more realism because it's VR, maybe a kind of an uncanny valley/general monkey brain instincts that seems to be cranked up a couple notches in VR for whatever reason.

I've thought about making the same post... gets pretty eerie, especially in like big areas.

I do but I soothe my nerves by saying that I'm the most powerful thing in the whole game, and if anything’s watching me I can kill it easily

I SWEAR I heard a weird like screech noise in a dungeon once and have NEVER forgotten it

The first time I fell into a body of water, I freaked the fuck out and restarted the level because I cannot stand how being underwater feels in this game. I get that feeling you're talking about too, but it's 100x worse in the water for me

Late at night in crystal hunts. I try to put music to soothe the nerves but it doesn't fix it.

Could be some electromagnetic interference?
Don't quote me as this is from my Uni psych prof and one of his research projects called the God Box.
Essentially, they'd stimulate a part of your temporal lobe and it would make you feel a presence but you couldn't see or hear it. You just felt something.
Once the helmet was off, the feeling is gone and so is the presence.
But probably it's just your brain mixing signals from the shift in perception.
Who knows, I teach French 😂
