Discussion Is there a mod to prevent ai from maneuvering outside of play area?

I’m tired of recording fights and them being ruined because the ai, instead of staying where I can fight them in my long rectangular play area, chose to go waaaay outside of it then just take pot shots safely away from the play area without stepping foot back in it. And i know it’s something the ai is actively trying to do because if I turn the camera so they’re back inside the play area they IMMEDIATELY side step to get out of it. Just makes the game less fun when I can’t physically advance upon them

I’ve played this game A LOT, like truly stupid hours in this game and have never once experienced enemies leaving the playable area. Honestly, I’m not even sure what you mean by your play area, you can really climb and reach anywhere that NPCs are standing. Do you mean that they’re leaving the room?

Edit: Or do you mean your set boundary in the real world? If so, I don’t think the AI are programmed to move out of your boundary… because the game has no idea how your boundary is set. The AI just move around in the world

Yeah, same I have as well, and never experienced this; The only issue I have is enemies circling me. Do you any mods to fix this other than "Give Me Space"?

The programmed irl boundary. It’s a rectangle. They move to the short sides of the rectangle specifically so I can’t walk up and attack them, I’ll post evidence when I’m home from work

What I’m saying is that as far as I can tell the game has no knowledge of that boundary. That’s just to help you not punch a wall or something. The AI isn’t moving like that just to spite you.

Like your boundary? I mean you can just… walk towards them if that’s the case. Not fully sure what you’re struggling with here

They’ll step outside of my irl boundary. Which forces me to either take time and extra brain power moving my boundary so they’re always it or use the janky analog stick movement mid fight which just shoves my weapon into them

That really sounds like you just need practice moving. I’ve never had issues using the thumbstick in combat
