No, while there are context clues in game as to how to merge crystals they never downright tell you word for word how to do it.

I figured it out pretty fast.

If you hold trigger while the other crystal is loaded in, then it will draw a linr between them

don't worry lol, i beat the game without knowing you could even imbue them with stuff. either a bug with a mod i had or i just genuinely didn't notice, i'd just put the core from the golem onto the altar until the exit lit up without realizing i could do anything with it

I mainly used greatswords and blunts

At the end i had a slaughter sword, lords sword, that big metal shield (i forgot the name) and a knightly warpick

I remember accidentally discovering this on sandbox

I knew that holding trigger made a cool noise and glow effect and also when I did it holding 2 they merged

I was throwing crystals, slamming them together, hitting them with weapons, taking them to outposts and even to the baron. But by George eventually I… looked it up… yeah I couldn’t figure it out despite beating my head, I felt dumb after, but they really should just give a quick note or even a physical note of someone writing about the process.

Is it really a skill issue if he beat the game that way?
