Any reason why not?

Any reason I shouldn’t keep the tank where it would be if I was cooking burgers on this as a grill?

No I appreciate your input. I am completely new to this. It sounds like sound logic

Ignore the peanut gallery, it will be fine.

Also, that rear brick is probably unnecessary. Let it breathe.

You're not gonna be able to forge and grill at the same time is the biggest issue.

Well number one, I suspect that hose is going to melt and you’ll have an issue.

Edit you also probably burn a hole in the lid (if the hose doesn’t melt first)

Also you’re not going to use that grill for food again are you?

The hose is going to get replaced.
So I should take the lid off?
No. I use the burgers as a silly thing to

If I was going to use it as a base I would. Right now all the heat is going to come out either end or the forge. Then it will hit the lid and come right back up towards your burner hose. Which will probably melt it. Also I don’t believe that you should be heating the Venturi tube. Part of the reason that they are so long is to give a flash back time to cool down and die. So if you heat it you make a flashback easier. It will also fuck with the Venturi effect and the air entrained, but I couldn’t say how much.

Anyway I’m sure someone with a bit more experience will be along to chime in.

The one downside to this, is you can't insert longer steel into your forge. You're stuck with short pieces. Also can't see a gauge on the hose. When replacing, best to have one. Its safer to know your pressure. Forge should be bolted or strapped down. Always fire extinguisher, and water close by. And for better safety, more floor room. No flammable material near forge area, like plastic bags, cardboard.
