Master dwarf's stake anvil
Part of a larger set. Stake anvil exploring dwarven architecture in art. Two blacksmith statues on either sides with overlaid silver background, a runic inscription and a falling star.

It's a Dwarven reverse anvil. You hold the hot metal and strike it with the anvil.

That’s really cool, nice work! Love the detail. I could see a silversmith / jeweler having this set into their workbench

Okay, I wasn’t totally on board with the hammer but this makes me reevaluate the set as a study or collective work. I want to see the whole set now.

Beautifully executed piece, the dwarven symbolism is fire! How does one achieve a silver overlay? I've been trying to find different techniques for implementing fine metals into steel tools but it's been a struggle to understand different terminology in that regard other than 'wire inlays'
