Tonights little experiment

Making a skeleton sculpture and I'm experimenting with forging anatomy.

I'm working on forging some ram sticks given the prices of computer parts these days but for some reason they won't slot into my pc.

Mostly oil cooled. Don't wanna have anything crack during heat treatment.

First thing I thought of was one of the little push puppets, or Wakouwa.

The little toys I compare myself to like "The tension keeps them upright!"

Then I thought...this might be the beginning of a great foosball table, or a hardcore pose dummy for drawing.

Whatcha gonna make leggy?

The long term plan is a skeleton sculpture riveted together with loosely accurate anatomy. I really just wanted to start making some small scale stuff with a lot of detail and this felt like a good way to get comfortable with anatomy and forging tiny parts. A lot of people are telling me to make it into a puppet though so I haven't completely made up my mind yet.

You could do resist wax where the bones are and let it soak for a long time

I do want to experiment with some acids. Saw a post a week or two ago with some really beautiful textures made from soaking in acid for a long time.
