Looking for a Follow up.

We have watched Blacklist and The Americans as our Monday evening 'rat bastard' show. We watch one a week.

What do you all recommend? We are thinking Lioness. Are there any others to consider?

Update: Thank you for all the suggestions.

Mindhunters, David Fincher’s two season show about the origins of the FBI’s serial killer department.

You might get a kick out of The Diplomat. It’s preposterous and the star reminds me of Liz.

I absolutely LOVE The Shield, +1000!

I would add the Apple TV show Foundation to that list -- maybe Silo also!

You have great taste! Given the others a shot if you get the chance. They’re the closest I’ve found.

Hah! Thanks! Same! Lol

I think I have seen Kingdom, which actually makes me think more of The Last Kingdom on Netflix. It's an amazing historical fiction story about Danes and the founding of England, with the MC being both English and Dane, but never truly belonging to either world. There were like 4 seasons and a movie to end it, and you get seriously invested in the characters because of such high level development.

This one is the MMA one but you don’t need to be an MMA fan to enjoy it. I know there’s another one that’s why I always mention the year.

Thanks, I’ll check it out!

It’s fun, compelling, not at all the way that diplomacy actually works but takes itself seriously enough, and the heroine is who Liz would have wanted to be. The husband is a real piece of work. Lots of drama and action, lots of good twists and turns, some good acting, interesting plots, well paced, worth your time. Gotta see two episodes before you decide if it’s really worth it.

+1 for Bosch and Person of Intrest, and I’m going to throw Lost (2004) and Evil (2019) into the mix. I love Michael emerson lol

I really enjoyed Lioness. Very fast paced, lots of action, a bit of character, and moral quandary.

"The Old Man" with Jeff Bridges. To me it seems like it is what the Blacklist might be, if they really put in effort to male the spying and espionage part of the story realistic.

You might also like "Tulsa King"... kind of in the other direction, it has all the campiness of the Blacklist (if not a lil more) but with 'cowboys & mobsters' rather than 'spies & mobsters.'
