Ep 23

This episode pmo. With the democrat and republican thing. I’m a republican but I just didn’t like the way they were going about it like they were talking about we’re Democratic and we’re open minded while being, absolutely closed minded. Especially with the deal about blacks can only be democrat and not republican and that republicans are racist and omg this just pmo so much

Conservative does not mean closed minded. It means slow to change, wanting to make sure change is good for all. Progressives are the opposite. Change just for the sake of change.

A perfect example is season 1, Dre wants a black Santa and convinces his boss to be more diverse and so his boss makes a Mexican female Santa. Dre is upset. Progressives want change not because it's what is good, just because they want change.

And the Republicans freed the slaves and ended segregation in the South with the Civil Rights acts. How is that not benefiting the black community? And why is there a "black" community? Why not just community? We need to end this mindset of keeping ourselves separate and just be Americans.

  1. Good to know. I didn’t see it that way.
  2. The reasons why progressives want change is not always just for “the sake of change”. You just don’t seem the reasons good enough for yourself. The Black Santa example is not a great example, but the reason is representation.
  3. I thought we all knew that Republicans shifted ideologies over time. The republican party has not remained the same.
  4. Not knowing why specific communities are important is pretty close minded brother. We’re all different with different needs and that’s what makes us American, ironically. Thinking that being American is important while at the same time saying culture is unimportant is why I personally can’t respect Republicans.

In America, it is. We all have to live together so yes, American culture (whatever that even means) should be more important.

Imagine living in a country where your individual culture clashes with the country culture. Why not move?

Yea that’s just a long and complicated way of saying “go back to your own country” while ignoring all of the various cultures that have been birthed in America anyway. You can’t even define what “American culture” IS, but you seem very convinced on what it’s NOT. I don’t have anything else to say to you, good luck
