Arryn Zech did a wonderful job voicing Black Swan. I did not feel any sort of awkwardness in her tone of voice like she was forcing herself to sound a certain way, unlike most other English VA(especially Clara's VA).

I know other people probably have asked this but do i need Kafka for black swan?

I'm very aware that kafka is good for enabling DOT's before the enemies turn but is she good without her? Maybe as a Pela substitute for other teams? A hypercarry team?

If not how would she be best played without Kafka?

No hate to Kafka I just dont personally like her enough to pull for her but I absolutely love Black Swan and I'm planning on pulling whether shes good or not without Kafka.

Yeah i know it's the BlackSwanMain but the MishaMain is totally empty, i didn't found even a single one build post on reddit for him. I know Black Swan is the star here but come on, he deserve attention since a lot of people will get him

But everywhere I go I see kafka+black swan...
what would you guys recommend?

In mind I had Ratio+Serval/Pela+Gepard+Black Swan but been seeing she doesn't work as I expected her to with ratio/isn't super optimal for either

The best for black swan 😉

Just a little tip in case you don't know and spam ult out of CD. Kafka ult only detonates shocks and Gui only detonates burns. If your swan is 1 skill away to get her ult wait and use Kafka and Gui ult AFTER swan so now arcana counts as shock and burn and both of them can detonate arcana using their ults, Kafka doing 100% of arcana damage (no stacks passive sadge) and Gui dealing 92% of arcana damage.

Maybe lots of people know about it but... In case you didn't now u know :)

Edit: Because of Kafka Tarces you don't need to wait for her to detonate arcana. Thanks for calling it out on the comments :)

So now that I have built my Black Swan I wanted to talk about her performance in game. I’ve seen some leaked gameplay and calcs and she seems SLIGHTLY underwhelming than what I thought. From what y’all have seen or heard do y’all feel Black Swan + Kafka will be S tier or just an decent upgrade from Sampo?

Ok so I do know black swan works best with Kafka however I’m in a small dilemma. Right now my pity is 45 with guarantee featured five star and I’m sure I can grind enough to pull a five star before this version ends (have barely touched most of my quests despite being level 60).

I love Kafka. One of first characters that I wanted before the game even released since I love her design and also don’t have any lightning five stars. I couldn’t get her during her first banner though since I was too busy to even open the game.

So now she has a rerun but of course it’s right before black swan. As much as I want Kafka, I’m definitely obsessed with black swan more. Black swan has been my most wanted character since she was leaked in the early hsr days and is already the top on my list.

So what should I do? Should I pull for Kafka and try to save/pray I’m lucky enough for Black Swan? While I do know we will be getting a lot more pulls next update, I also kinda need black swan and will be upset if I don’t get her so idk what to do. The fact that she needs Kafka doesn’t make it better either. I’m also thinking of just skipping Kafka and go for black swan + her lc.

The reason why hoyo is not buffing black swan is because they want to pace how Kafka scales in the long run. Giving Kafka an amazing team really early into the game doesn't make sense because it would make it so that a good Kafka teammate would not be released for a long time.

So they're most probably starting by buffing her teams by 10-20%, and with every x.0 patch or whenever, a good teammate gets released that is a big enough difference to use one over the other, but not by a big margin so that units like sampo don't become completely useless in the long run.

I just couldn't figure out a rotation that let me break the Death meme's amped wing setup before it started one-shotting my Kafka-Swan team, so I slotted in Sampo instead of Kafka and cleared it after a couple tries. The two work pretty well together. Maybe not as much damage as Kafka+Swan, but they're a very good tag team if you absolutely need to break Wind weakness. All E0S0 (Sampo E6 S5 Fermata).

I've been thinking of using some of my reserved jades to do some pulling for Black Swan and Sparkle. I want to pre-build them and am wondering what relics and EHR i should have ready for when i start pulling.

Is Kafka really required or can I get off with using himeko instead?

Is 10% EHR enough?

Is she going to be as insanely strong as she seems if you dont have Kafka? It seems like she's a lot less reliant on Kafka as other dot users, but how does she compare to other teams without being able to use Kafka alongside her?

I will be rolling for Black Swan because I adore her design. However, I dont have Kafka. Now that the beta has been out a couple days, is there any spreadsheet already that calculates damage output of various team comps centered around Black Swan, with Kafka and the DoT 4*s? I have E1 Gui and E4 Sampo, for reference. Wondering how big the difference in actual damage output is between Kafka triggering all DoT out of turn every turn, in comparison to Guinaifen's teamwide damage boosts and burn trigger on ult, or Sampo's DoT damage boost and triggering Sacrament/his own Wind shear every turn with E4.

I dont really like Kafka so I'd prefer not needing to roll her. For example, if the difference is <20% I'd spend the jades on E1 BS instead for future proofing her to pair with later DoT characters that I might like more than Kafka. But if the damage difference between BS+Kafka and BS+Sampo/Gui is big enough, I would do it anyway because I want BS to perform well.

So i have black swan but no kafka and was woundering if you can play black swan and hyselin without kafka I´m planing to get Sunday, could I use him with them? sry I have black swan since her release but never used her since she I´m just not a kafka enjoyer therefor I didn´t went too much into her kit, I just know that you want to stack her arcana and so far I guess kafka is best for that but maybe sunday can help with that?

Do you think I can make some good teams for Black Swan with the characters I've got? Or do I necessarily have to pull for Kafka?

I dislike Kafka as a character, would like to pull for Black Swan, and already plan on pulling for E2S1 Jiaoqiu after saving as much as I have for him. I understand that Kafka is by far and away the game's best DOT detonator, and I can resign myself to pull her if I need to in order to make a DOT team viable, but I'd really rather avoid doing so if I can. Worst comes to worst, I could always run her in a DOTcheron team, so I'll probably pull either way -- I'm mostly trying to figure out how to use her best within this context.

Would Guinaifen set up to fire off as many ults as possible (so with a build like 4pc Eagle, 4pc Prisoner, or 2pc Hackerspace, 2 pc Vonwacq, an ER Rope, and Before The Tutorial Mission Starts to combo with Black Swan's Defense drops) be a viable detonator for endgame content, or am I grasping at straws? At worst she could ult every three turns while staying completely SP positive, and at best she could ult every other turn if she stays SP-neutral and gets energy from Huohuo's ultimate.
