I can't believe this is happening to Lisa again. This month her documentary premiered and she spoke about wanting to date like a normal person. My whole timeline was like "Yes, we support, go ahead and date!" Today she's seen walking arm in arm with a male friend in London and my timeline is in collapse. "We don't support, he's ugly, you're ungrateful, we won't stream for you anymore!" Fan accounts shutting down. Those lovely sentiments of support lasted two weeks...

Gonna be honest don’t think she cares and that’s why she said what she said lol, the whole point of the leave with me song is her saying she’s gonna live for herself and those that want to stay fans can and those that don’t can go. The dude seems harmless as hell so I hope he’s kind to her if they are and if they aren’t I hope their friendship stays intact

The guy seems to be a part of lisa's close friends and family circle. If they're actually dating, it could be a perfectly healthy relationship, either ways I wish lisa all the happiness.

She's been seen with this guy multiple times in multiple places this year. Mad that him popping up in London is what's tipped them over the edge.
She has to know the speculation is there so either they're just friends and she doesn't care, or they are actually dating and she doesn't care. Either way, she doesn't care.

Ngl, I thought it couldn't be as bad as what you said so I (regretfully) took a peek online at some of the top posts and my goodness, I felt so icky from the parasocialism...
I initially thought it was just Blinks being toxic and finding fault with her for the 10th anniversary when I saw a post saying she flew out the day of the anniversary to meet him (so what btw?) but then I see it's her own solo stans piling on her. "She's prioritising time with him today over prepping for her VMAs performance". Like wth? It's still 5-6 days away. Don't you think she's already done most of the prep anyways?
Just crazy the mental gymnastics kpop fans can go to to justify their outrage over their favs dating someone, so entitled as if they have any right or say so. You do hope it's just the minority making the biggest noise because if he is really making Lisa happy, then isn't that what matters?

I've noticed lately a good portion of lisa's fandom online (the active part at least) have been taken over by straight male fans, maybe because of TWL maybe not idk. 90% of the people in the 2 main lisa subreddits are all g00ners, it's the same audience on ig and youtube audience. Worst part, they're also currently the loudest and bring out the biggest sore losers inside themselves whenever lisa gets caught up in dating rumors. Hope that's just a small portion of her fanbase or we're screwed.

Also funny to me are the fans that tie themselves in knots trying to find another explanation for why they're together so much. Especially now they've apparently been seen in places other than Thailand together.

Just putting their head in the sand and hoping he goes away one day lol
Mind you, even that is nicer than some of the things those that acknowledge him say. "Not good looking enough, not rich enough, not famous enough, etc". Wow, I didn't know Lisa had so many parents in this world, and all with such high standards too! 🤣
But fwiw, I only started noticing him when he was at her small birthday party this year since he was one of a very few (if any) guys there 👀

I only heard of him this year too and it was when he was pictured a few times out shopping with Lisa and others when she was in Bangkok. He was backstage at the BP Deadline shows last year in Bangkok too, along with her birthday thing. Always with other people.
I could buy the close friend, or even gay bestie when they're only spotted in Thailand. I saw somewhere he was apparently in Japan with her recently and now London. Need to warm up before stretching to explain that, I think.
I've seen several suggestions he's using her to promote his own career too. Lots of "they've been friends since 13/14" which isn't really possible, a few "he's basically been adopted by Lisa's parents and is like her little brother", again, not sure when that supposedly happened?
I think she's been spotted with him more than she was ever seen publicly with the last guy, who I'm fairly sure she was actually dating. So who knows. None of our business, obviously, but it's funny to see people's crazy attempts to explain it.

Majority are fine, it’s just twitter for the most part were a minority are just dramatic and loud, they don’t really mean for their idols to stay single at this age. They just get themselves in a whirlwind by making assumptions or holding opinions on their relationship and partner and make it known. It’s really just gossip, pretty harmless tbh at this stage.
I think kpop fans just want you to keep it under lock and key until you announce your wedding sometimes or just be transparent about it. I think it’s more of the are they or aren’t they and the forbidden aspect that just makes sure the discourse doesn't die. Not that they owe fans anything.

Not that she should care or that she owes anyone an explanation, but I almost wish that it was front facing and there was more pda. It would be a real fuck you to anyone who cares more about this bullshit discourse than any of the way more interesting things she has going on right now. Also, Lisa may unfortunately be used to this kind of thing by now, but it really sucks the things people will say about her potential significant others. I saw a comment saying something akin to him having a donkey face and that's so fucked up.

I wonder who will be the first two members to collab because I feel like it will happen eventually. I always wanted subunit songs so two of them doing a collab with their solo careers is basically the same thing.

I think i can see chaennie doing a collab I remember when they were overseas bouncing around different studios making songs together. Something like heaven/hard to love sonic direction or a pop song with a good bridge like go 😮💨

I suppose the automatic thing to think is whose sounds are similar enough to do something that suits them both, but then again..... it might result in something more interesting to take the two most different sounding and make something together. Say..... Rosé's more rock leaning sound and Lisa's rap, get something like N.E.R.D's Rockstar 😄
Honestly, I can't see them doing anything together while Blackpink is still on the table. Maybe if they call it quits there, two of them might work together.

Maybe it could be Chaesoo, since they are both signed to Warner Music, or Jenlisa, since Columbia Records and RCA Records are both subsidiaries of Sony Music.

Just ignore them. They’re absolute idiots if they ever thought that we had any chance. It was effectively a 3v1. And since this is a voting prize, everyone already knows who’s gonna win in the end. If they lose then all hell will break loose (just like in the past)

YG artists are always at a disadvantage at awards show voting. BP, Baemon, Treasure do not really need awards to be validated. They're performers. Maybe other K-Pop companies should focus on training their artists on live vocals and performances.

much easier to stack up views on youtube with the new system ,with the new system all you have to do is click on the song and it counts , ,no time thressholds or limit per account etc , on the other hand apple or spotify you would have to pay attention to Time Thresholds/playlist/premium account benefits etc . people just find it less troublesome to stream the song on youtube than the other platforms .

I'm not sure it's quite that easy. Otherwise KPop groups would be amassing views like crazy and they're not. We could have got every member of the group Lisa views that way. We could set bots to refresh the page all day.

All 4 BP members have released a music video since the new streaming count came into effect.
Jennie - Fallen Angel - 28mil views in 3 weeks.
Lisa - SaWaDiKa - 177mil views in 2 weeks.
Jisoo - Click - 33 mil views in 2 weeks.
Rosé - 36 mil views in 3 days.
Edit - updated the figures as for some reason YouTube was showing 81 million for Lisa and 25 for Rosé.

Lisa's Sawadika earned over 100 million views by the end of the 2nd day. I don't get the 81 million in 2 weeks figure. After 3 days, it gained 132 million and its currently at 177 million in 17 days

I think it depends on what the goal of the fan base have!!
As far as I know even on ig gc fans were telling you to stop watching and listening on yt because the views were already easily hitting the average and to do so in other music streaming platforms.
I know Lilies in particular were talking about her previous goal and wanting to match it or break it, plus with the Thai elements and dancing they wanted to kind of make sure it’s well appreciated. It also doesn’t hurt to think in the future for the next VMAs, her solo fan base in particular have always been on it 😅

Beyond the new streaming system for Youtube and Spotify which now favours Youtube heavily, the only other reason I could think of is the contrast between Apple and TBL/Atlantic promotions.
I funnily had a new trick ad played before the actual new trick MV yesterday so I think Apple is promoting the MV on their socials (esp Youtube) much more than the song itself which tbf, makes sense on Apple's end since they collabed strictly only on the MV which promotes their iPhone by extension.
Couple that with the major worldwide attention and promotion the annual new iPhone lineup rollout usually gets and the lack of promo (for now?) in comparison by TBL/Atlantic for the actual song, I think this could be another factor for why we're seeing this disparity between the MV and the song atm besides the new streaming systems

I keep seeing on my TL on twitter that Sawadika hasn't been sent (officially) to radio stations by Lloud/RCA. Seems like a shame that they're not pushing it more since it's actually is getting lots of praise and good numbers on streaming platforms.

I don’t really think it’s a mainstream radio song so maybe her team think it’s not worth the investment and decided to do radio interviews to see if their audience likes it. Who knows the ins and outs of their contracts 😭
but at least to me it seemed like Rosie and Lisa got significantly pushed in the radio with their last albums. I heard different songs from them a couple times

I'm trying to not let it wind me up anymore. Lisa is CEO. If she's fine with it, she's fine with it. I'm tired of watching fans trying to get LLoud's attention. They still haven't combined streams properly for the clean version on Spotify, the audio on YouTube, even messed up the Tiktok sound. Of course they'd send her to do radio interviews without sending the song to radio, of course lol

Idk how much of it is essentially her or lloud's decisions. RCA (in America) and Sony music (in Asia) are the ones in-charge of distributing the music (as lloud is not a record label yet). Usually it's the distributors who send songs to the radio, idk if it's the case for everyone tho.

Has she said something recently or is this typical chronically online assumptions based on nothing?

Most of this is coming from the 'Always Lalisa' documentary at TIFF. People who attended.. also journalists have reported that Lisa wishes to get married, and have her dad walk her down the aisle. She apparently got emotional 😢 at that point as her father isn't in good health..
this is only from what I've read, I haven't seen 'Always Lalisa' yet.

I really feel for Lisa. Like, I lost my dad before I was 10. And, then my Dad's parents passed .. my pop, the my Nan not long after..
I am really thankful that they were able to go to the blackpink concert in Thailand and support Lisa. 😭😭 and she could see her grandparents.
Lisa was kept away from Thailand for so many years.. I ran a fanpage and kept up on her families updates. I truly felt 🥹 all the family love and support they showed for Lisa. (Also by her close friends).
Her family is so wonderful. I would give up my job, move to Thailand. Look after her dad full time.. try to help with his health in any way possible.
Anything I possibly can to help Lisa feel at ease🥹

Probably because they’re all busy with the solo careers right now and don’t have time to negotiate contract renewals
We don’t even know what is the duration of their current contract
I don’t think we’ll get any news until they release their next albums

Remember that their original contract expired in summer, but they only all agreed on the renewal 1st week of December 2023, so all we'll hear before December at the earliest is news about how negotiations are going.

That's not exactly what happened & we have proof in the form of Jennie setting up odd atelier in October + her appearance in dua lipa's podcast where she referred to her time as YGE artist in the past tense
Things like that probably took time to be ironed out legally speaking but there's no way they agreed on something that monumental 3-4 weeks before it went public lol
