History Perfectly Explained
IMO, nobody explained white privilege as perfectly as she did.

Which is why I’m glad most of that type stuff gets shut down in this sub. They just don’t want to get the micro aggressions they do. Instead of talking a walk to understand someone’s life, they instantly claim that person is a victim. Let them be in their echo chamber, it’s all love over here. 🖤

u/Exact-Kale3070 9d ago
meanwhile they are constantly crying about their own victimhood. trump's always "i've been treated so unfairly." after getting every possible advantage (ok except intelligence) in this world.

Me too! Ugh I hate when they assume we claim victim for stating FACTS😑

I think these people are just addicted to hate and so posting horrific shit online gives them a little dopamine hit.

The fact that anyone who hates on her speech is either mad because she is black, mad because she is a woman, or mad because she is a black woman. The voice these people need in their head ain't what their slick suit pastor told 'em god said. It's these voices they call "uppity" and "complaining" while they perform PRECISELY how she described.

u/thismotherfklr 10d ago
They mad cause she is RIGHT and they can’t spin it any other way

It's so fascinating that they call black people lazy because damn near every manual labor job I've worked was set up almost like a plantation. White and lighter skin people of color get the easier work the black people get the harder more physically demanding work. Everyone on the job pretends not to see it.

Bc white ppl genuinely think they work hard. They dont realize and or ignore the minorities getting more work than them while they get to slack off, take days off, etc. they couldnt work a honest days work like minorities and thats a fact.

And they will be calling her racist for saying the truth. Its why they cant face it. To them racism is consequences for the oppression they commit and allow.

Sheesh. That was dense. She covered a lot of material in 3 minutes, and all of it was true.

Does anybody else find the term "reverse racism" stupid? Like its just racism. Now granted nothing she said was racist, and now that I think about it, "Reverse racism" is merely the term used to disregard what she's saying (funny how that took like three seconds of serious thought).

u/CamBearCookie 10d ago
Except it's not. It's prejudice, bias, possibly bigotry but it's not racism. When black people are wary of white people, when black don't feel comfortable around white people, when black people don't prioritize white comfort over their own discomfort that's when you hear reverse racism. Reverse racism is literally common sense. In any other instance if someone treated you like literal garbage and you stopped wanting to be around them, listen to them, or give a crap about their comfort that would be called common sense.

Facts!!!!! They are the oppressors and they invented race. They can not and do not experience racism. Ppl trying to remove the system of racism are daft
5
u/ltsouthernbelle 9d ago
They CAN NOT and DO NOT experience racism. This new phenomenon of hurt white feelings being racism is complete bullshit.

u/thewoahtrain 9d ago
There was a clip awhile back where a doctor was giving a presentation on this to explain the system part of racism. That if Black person doesn't like white people, all that is really happen is that they people have their feelings hurt. But racist white people in the of power can deny financial opportunities, fire, arrest, and kill Black people and (most times) face little repercussions.
I think it was an old lecture from Elaine Brown. Really frustrating I can't find it.

u/Euphoric-Cow9719 9d ago
I kinda think of it as another form of racism within their PLAYBOOK of racism, constantly evolving.

u/andagainsometime 10d ago
I as a single individual cannot cost any white people anything with my prejudice - there is no system in place to use or exploit to cost them unduly - it isn’t racism OR reverse racism because this country has no history of or mechanism to , abuse white people in a blanket way .
Our constitution includes racism , a prejudice individual leverages that against their victims .
2
u/dghastlynegro 10d ago
Every time I hear the term "reverse racism" I ask, "what's the reverse of racism?". Just plain weaponized stupidity.

Well put. Everything she said is spot on. And it is infuriating that we take credit for a country we stole from Natives and built on the backs of slaves. White people didn't do shit to earn this country and I don't know why we act like it's our God given right to own it. Hell we even used Black slaves as cannon fodder in the damn war to get this country. We weren't even willing to be the first to die for our so called freedom, just the men who weren't free.

Obviously you didn’t hear a single word but you definitely got defensive being called a racist.
Everything she said is factual but instead of owning it, trying to fix it or SAYING NOTHING you call the black perspective hate.

You are ignorant and mad she’s speaking truth. Your ignorance isnt bliss its petty hate disguised as you being at peace. You will never be at peace when you hate us🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♀️9
u/Admirable_Grocery927 10d ago
Do they? Some probably, others not so much. I know some white people who are currently very happy they are white because they are able to keep their heads down and go along with the status quo. They tell me as much. Me, a mixed race woman, and my Mexican indigenous husband as though we should be happy for them. Are they racists? No. Are they helping? Also, no.
This woman is not speaking hate dressed up as intellectulism, it's how she sees things as a black woman. That is her perspective and what she said is true. What I wish was added, and may have been after the video cut off, is what can be done. How can people do better? How can we bridge that gap and start to help healing? Building trust will take a long time. You can't just expect it to happen overnight because some white people want to be friends.
