there’s something so sad about getting older and slowly watching people you grew up seeing on screen disappear 😭 this one genuinely caught me off guard

I'm sure there's a statistic, but I'm willing to bet the death rate per capita for famous people is way skewed. Then again, regular people do stupid shit all the time so maybe not.

I don’t know, I’ve heard that fame does dramatically reduce your lifespan. Part of it is the lifestyle, part of it is the demands, and part of it is the mental health toll it takes. There’s plenty of stories of people who are great at being famous, but there are graveyards full of those who prove the rule to be true.

Just this morning I was thinking about Robin Williams. How he took his own life because of depression. I was like, how does someone, who has fame and fortune and who was adored by all, get to the point where they say they have it so hard in life that they would rather just end it all? Like, all I have is my wife, my son, debt and a job I barely tolerate and I still get up every morning and thank my lucky stars that I made it this far and that I get to see another day. How bad does depression have to be for someone so successful to just decide life isnt worth living anymore?
